As we walked in, we were greeted with a smile and walked to our table. Our server Gavin, greeted us with enthusiasm and enlightened us on the new fall menu. Unfortunately, he was very busy with other tables and did not check on us very much. The manager Steve was amazing! He completely took over and helped us the rest of the time. As I looked around, I also saw other tables waiting a long time for their servers and had to seek assistance else where. Over all the pizza was good, the wine was robust with flavor and the manger stepped in to help other tables when needed. My company @Atirela was hired to do a balloon installation for a double baby shower. The place is nice and the stuff was very attentive and friendly. Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
The atmosphere is great and the food is delicious. It’s pretty pricey for the portions, but the quality is amazing. They label themselves as a half restaurant and half winery, so their selection is limited but every dish is unique and full of flavor. It’s definitely a once in awhile kind of place for special occasions, and you could definitely leave wanting something more if you’re super hungry. But overall a nice place to get a bite and have a social outing! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30

We went here for a date night. There were quite a lot of people, but with ample seating there was no wait. We sat outside, lots of fans to keep the temp down. Our waitress was great and super friendly. Food was amazing, except for the risotto- it was watery (see photo), they could do it a lot better. The wine is very reasonably priced, a huge plus. Will be going back! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50
Arrived around 630 on Saturday night. No reservation but were seated quickly. Waiter, manager and owner all introduced themselves and offered a run down. Their wine prices are generally less than retail at HEB which is incredible and the selection was well crafted. Our waiter Luis was great. Food was also solid. Will be back. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100

Wonderful food great location! We love Italian food and the fact that this is located in the front of East Shore near the Children’s Museum and the Toasted Yolk. You can no longer park on the street but there is a lot of parking in the back. They have a great menu and an incredible wine list. The owners are local Woodlanders and are super friendly. On a lovely day there is patio seating which is nice. Photos are from the grand opening which was delightful evening. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Recommended dishes Eggplant Parmesan

Excellent well-trained, experienced restaurant staff. The Italian-leaning menu features favorite classics and seasonal specialties like the Miso broth mussels or the wild boar bolognese. The locally-made fresh pastas are delicious. Ask for Selso to wait on you. Order a terrific Napa red or a big Tuscan Brunello di Montalcino. Ask what GM Steve Breaker is concocting in the kitchen in the way of bespoke seasonal sorbets. Some are off the menu. Just fantastic! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Coleen Baker (Director of Marketing & Special Events) was very responsive, knowledgeable and accommodating to our business lunch reservation for our admins from our job. A friendly hostess and showed everyone the venue and menus! Don't forget about the wide variety of wines from around the world! Yumm! Chef Steve was fabulous. He brought the delicious food to us with an exquisite presentation and explanation. We had from appetizers to desserts! I'd definitely recommend PortA'Vino for your next dining experience!!
