I go to the one near Mall of the Mainland in Texas City. Most of the time, I use the drive-thru. They give me good service and so far, my orders have been right, and my food is fresh. Very polite employees, seemed relatively new overall. Missing a few items from the order but not the meat and potatoes so I wasn't too worried about it (no pun intended). Overall had a decent experience, could use a little extra work on attentiveness and some more training. Overall a decent experience for my first time at this location. Worst establishment!!! I tried giving this location various opportunities but it just seems like it keeps getting worse. Went there a couple of weeks ago as I placed my order I asked the order taker to make some fresh chicken strips that I didn’t mind waiting she said okay and asked me to pull to the front and that they would take my food out. I waited about 20 min finally I decided to go inside and check on my order to my surprise they didn’t even remember me being outside waiting. They ended up making my order and when I got home the chicken strips were so old it was pointless me waiting outside for 20 min. I tried calling the store about 10 times they never answered. Today again I went hoping that my experience will be better and as I feared the chicken strips were so old like they had been there a couple of hours. I tried calling the store and again no answer. I love Popeyes but someone needs to do something about this location! I feel like they keep taking peoples money and not giving them what we are paying for. Very Disappointed

Tonight I ordered a 2 piece chicken, mash potatoes and gravy. I get home and started to eat, my chicken had blood in it and my mash potatoes did not have gravy. I went back up there and showed them the food and ask for my money back. They said because I didn’t have my receipt, I can’t get a refund but fresh chicken. The drive through guy said I didn’t give you a receipt because we out of paper. This was a horrible experience and I am not done broadcasting them. I ordered on line a 16 piece Spicy for just under $50.00. Picked it up and went home and when I unloaded the bag I realized it was missing 9 pieces. I didn't think you had to check before you drove off. I called back and NO answer, so I then drove back. Told the assistant manager that I had pieces mixing and usually they have 2 big boxes and I only received 1. He said they had put it in the bag, obviously NOT or wouldn't have gone back for what I purchased. He REFUSED to give me my chicken. He then called the manager on the phone and she said she packaged it and it was there. Another words, they BOTH said, I WAS LYING. How COMPLETELY INSULTING. He said because I ordered on the app they couldn't give me what I paid for. How stupid was that answer. Someone ahead of ne or behind received my order. I wanted to call the cops because that was stilling. DO NOT GO HERE. THEY ARE THEIVES. THEY CALLED ME A LIAR. THEY NEED TO BE FIRED. THIS IS THE MOST INSULTED INHAVE EVER BEEN. I contacted someone from the app. They actually wanted to give me points on my app, I refused, especially since I just visited Popeyes for the LAST time. I wanted my money back, and they gave it back, BUT they refused to give me what I paid for at this location. Have you ever heard anything so ridiculous. That's stilling. THEY BOTH NEED TO BE FIRED. Went thru the drive thru. Ordered the surf n turf with blackened ranch, Mardi Gras mustard and cup of water. I paid 42 cents for the cup of water. When I got my order at the drive thru window, all that was in the bag was chicken a shrimp. No fries. No biscuit. No sauce. No cup of water. This Popeyes has stepped up their chicken and biscuit game!!! The chicken was fresh, juicy and seasoned to perfection. OMG, the biscuits were soft and buttery (not bland and hard as a rock). That new crew is serving up good food and fast and friendly service. Please keep up the good work, we need a Popeyes worthy of the name. Where do I begin? This location is under new management now. Before, the chicken was always hot, but the professionalism was not. Now, the service is better but my last visit I received SPOILED red beans and rice. As I ate it initially, I was thinking “did they switch up on the recipe”? Then, I gagged and realized that it was actually spoiled. I was so sick! Literally and figuratively. I called the store about 6 times before they answered. Was put on hold and then forgotten about. I eventually hung up after about 20 mins. It’s just ridiculous. To think that they’re serving spoiled food, makes you wonder about quality control. I’d much rather a different restaurant take their place since they can’t seem to get their affairs in order. I’d also love to actually hear back from a manager, but I won’t hold my breath. Save yourselves the trip to the ER and eat somewhere else. UPDATE: Out of lack of my better judgment, I thought I’d give them one more try. In pure Popeyes #3499 form, they didn’t fail to disappoint. This time, I was sold and served what I can’t even describe other than ‘diseased looking’ Mac and Cheese. Take a look for yourselves. I did a mobile pick up order, placed at 5:49pm. It said available for pick up between 5:55 and 6:05. It was a pretty large order, so I wasn’t expecting it within the time frame. Pulled in to park at 6:11. And I waited. And waited. And waited. My food wasn’t done until 6:37. And then my gallon of tea wasn’t done until 6:51. As I said, I was fine with it not being done immediately, but to wait in the restaurant for 40 minutes. This is the ssllloooowwessstttttttt Popeyes on the face of the planet. Jan 2020 Waited in line for about 20 to 25 mins to get a pie for my wife. Get to the window and they are out of pies... All that time for a lemon aid. I did realize that i review this place before... But this time in the drive thru (5.2020) there was not a line on arrival but 3 employees sat outside on a break... When i got to the window they asked me to pull forward and park. The same was ask of all other cars. Slowly all parking spots filled up and then cars started block in all the parked cars in parking spots. About 10 cars where waiting for food because 3 employees all took a break at once. Horrible management! Just chaos and confusion. Out of recipe paper,(no recipes) order bags (they use plain white bags), sandwich bags( I got a fish sandwich bag for a chicken sandwich) , and they forgot our drinks.
