Excellent food. The pressed juices were outstanding! Extremely small portions. I will definitely order two breakfasts next time. Heavy on the bread, although it is good sourdough. Lovely setting. Looks like they will be doing dinner soon. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

A beautiful place with thoughtful eye-catching decor and a relaxing ambience. The staff and owners are very friendly and the food menu is delicious! They also serve excellent coffee and different daily juice mixes. I’ve been back several times already and will be back for more.

Such a thoughtful, beautifully design building - from the murals, to the scone lighting, to the earthware clay plates and bowls. Absolutely stunning whether you sit inside or outside amongst the cacti. The menu is incredible! So many delicious gourmet options at a reasonable price. But do yourself a favor and get a pre meal chocolate chip cookie, you’ll be glad you did. The staff was all so friendly and helpful! Curating a relaxing, inviting atmosphere. Firstly the food is amazing, gourmet food at a very reasonable price, the pizza and bread is all made in house with their special sourdough starter and it's delicious! The new menu is incredible you have to try the falafel and the samosas!!! 😁 So yeah the food is amazing but the best part is the atmosphere and team they have, they make everyone feel like family and it's the whole experience that makes you want to comeback for more! Polvora was a hidden gem we wished we found in December when we first drove to La Ventana. The iced mocha was perfectly sweetened and had foam on top. We have never experienced foam on an iced mocha and loved it. The cookies were incredible and the peanut butter blueberry was one of the best cookies I have ever eaten. Who combines peanut butter and blueberries. The chocolate chip cookie may look basic but it is delicious and has salt sprinkled on the top. I'm a home baker and I know 🍪 cookies. Breakfast was served in a hot bowl and was flavorful and yummy. Vanessa greeted us upon arrival and made us feel like family thought our experience. We were hooked and then we got to meet Tino the owner and we were blown away about the details that went into creating Polvora. He spent time sharing his vision, inspiration, and story. If you need inspiration, great coffee, and food look no further and search out Polvora South of La Ventana. The hunt is worth it. They offer dinner reservations on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and they sell out. I need say more. We will be back for dinner soon... Amazing breakfast. The huevos shakshuka was amazing, the coffee was good, the service was super friendly, and atmosphere had a really cool relaxing vibe. Pólvora is located in what feels like the middle of the desert but is just outside town. It is immaculately designed with covered spaces and tables surrounded by cacti - ambient music in the background. The food (only tried brunch) is exceptional — good portions, fresh ingredients, wonderful flavours, decent prices. They also have really good coffee. The owner and staff were really nice and friendly. I am sure they could tell my Spanish isn’t great but entertained speaking to me the entire way versus switching to English which I greatly appreciated. Wish I found this earlier but I’ll be back next year.

Absolutely my favorite coffee shop / cafe I have ever visited. The service was fantastic and you can feel the thought that has gone into every detail- the space, the food, the coffee, the art. They may be the only specialty coffee in the area(?), and it was great. We tried most of the food menu as well and everything was thoughtfully balanced, unique in flavor, and made from local ingredients. Cannot recommend Pólvora enough. What a gem.

10/10 Recommend for breakfast or diner. It is also pet friendly, if you need a change of scenery for remote working the wifi is good. Most of all the FOOD! The biggest challenge: try not order the entire menu. The design is beautiful! Every inch inside and outside will have your eyes wandering with ohhs and ahhs. The ambiance at night is especially marvelous with the creative use of light fixtures. The Food is delicious. Every dish I have tried so far is on point. Ingredients are fresh and cared for properly. They also sell fresh bread and sourdough starter which I think is an amazing addition to the community. If you drink alcohol, be sure to try the Mezcal. The Service has been outstanding! Every member of the team is friendly, helpful with suggestions, and they all work well together. The Cost is right on point. Incredibly artistic space with the best coffee we’ve found in all of Baja. We shared the French toast and avocado toast for breakfast and loved them both. The owner is so kind and has created the most brilliant space. Prices were shockingly reasonable - thank you so much for making it affordable! I wish I could take this place home with me.
