By far my most favourite place after riding a scooter around the island. It was so peaceful and calm. It is setup nicely with water swings, raised deck, plenty of outdoor seating, and kayaks which looked like a great activity to do on calm water. The fried fish was excellent and best I’ve had. The young lady serving was sweet and the gentleman running the establishment was friendly. There are also a few rooms for rent or to camp. Lots of cute dogs roaming around.

Great place to enjoy the views of Conception Volcano and the lake. Beers were ice cold and service was very good. Many locals here enjoying the afternoon too. A nice stop after hiking San Ramon Waterfall.

I recommend this place. Kencho is really nice and wants to make us confortable. We got to do a kayak activity that was not planned and worked out well and fast for a good price. The place is beautiful and well taking care of
Stayed for a drink. Not far away from playa Mangos which is more expensive. Hope this can also be a bit more discovered. Beautiful location to see the sunset.
We had a wonderful time and experience at Playa El Peru. Kencho is a lovely host that greeted us upon arrival. We camped in a perfect spot. Saw many exotic birds. The highlight of our stay was renting kayaks and visiting the not to be missed serene lagoon. Birds so close in their natural habitat and howler monkeys. The view from the sweet dock, or swings is incredible. Beautiful sunsets and Volcán Concepcion. Recommend! Great batidos too! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
The worst omelette I ever tried: made in burned oil, with no cheese and small quantity of burned veggies. Over salty. And completely overpriced for what it is. Like, if you don't know how to cook, open a banana plantation instead of a restaurant...
The view, the sunsets!! Absolutely the best! The food was good and affordable, but it can take some time to get Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

Decent food at decent prices at an incredible location. Food comes out slow, but more time to enjoy the views. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5
We had a very good basic meal (3 choices: chicken, beef or pork) for C$200 pp. View is amazing. No bargain needed for the kayak tour. She offered it for the fair price of C$360 pp. You can choose a single or double kayak. Recommend doing it with a guide. He points out the animals and knows his way at the river. He only costs C$180 extra in total. We had an awesome day! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch

We rented kayaks at Playa Perú, it was okay! Our guide was really nice! We called beforehand and they arranged it already. The kayaks were polyester kayaks and a bit flat. I prefer the ones where you’re in the kayak, so my back is supported. That’s why: 4 stars. We didn’t really liked the kayaks to be honest. Food is limited: Rice, beans, plantains and meat. That’s the combination or those are the options. Music it restaurant was really loud and really noisy. Would not recommend sitting there. It was like a American college party with EDM music and cheap speakers, but without anybody there. Maybe in the evening it’s better.
