Best coffee in Hermanus. Never hated myself more when I said - out loud - "I just want to find a decent flat white" I called. Plato answered. Delicious coffee, expansive menu with great iced drinks on it and really friendly, pro staff. They also have a selection of alternative milks 🙏 You can take the boy out of North London.. What a delightful coffee shop! This is the best coffee I've had in Hermanus. The menu is incredible - I am a big traditionalist on coffee and this is the first time I have really had to deliberate if I should get something else instead of my usual espresso macchiato. Staff are super friendly and very skilled at making a great coffee. Micro foam was perfect and the artwork on the coffee was beautiful. I will definitely be going back to try some of the other options on the very extensive menu. I tried the Aristotle and hugely recommend it. The location is perfect for picking up a takeaway coffee to enjoy next to the ocean; there is seating available at Plato, but as you're in the middle of town the noise from traffic outside is perhaps a little less enjoyable. Plato Coffee in Hermanus is a must-visit for coffee lovers. The coffee itself is fantastic and the iced latte is a standout among the drinks. The baristas are exceptional, with a real passion for their work that shines through in their customer service. The indoor seating is cozy and comfortable, and the outdoor seating area is a lovely place to relax and enjoy the sun. I wanted to give 1000 stars for service - WOW!!! I don't even drink coffee (!) but popped my head round this cool little thatched cottage and, without prompting, was given a bespoke rundown of their comprehensive and extensive menu. I was completely hooked and settled down on a sofa outside with a delicious OPHELIA (triple brewed rooibos with white hot chocolate and micro foam). There were super cute cookies on the counter and a touching note was inscribed on my cup - which really made my day! ♡ The entire experience sparked complete and utter JOY!!!! Cuppachino tasted like a single coffee bean had merely sneezed into some luke warm water. Pretty tasteless. Not worth the R42, so definitely overpriced in my humble opinion. Nice atmosphere. Price per person R 50–100 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
