Persimmon is the loveliest coffee shop in Fishtown. Everything I have tried here is standout. The service is exceptional and the quality is unmatched. I typically enjoy a drip coffee but their seasonal lattes are SO thoughtful and delicious. My friend and I ordered matcha lattes. The quality of the matcha was amazing! It was nicely mixed with the milk. Pure flavorable. I enjoyed every sip. I like the concept. I like the vibe. BUT.. Not worth the $7 specialty coffee. Cinnamon powder added a good flavor, but it was still too overpowering to taste their special “persimmon syrup” after all i was not sure what this drink so special compared to other coffee shops? How lucky was I to be a guest of this wonderful coffee shop. The owner graciously made my coffee. He was so pleasant and I felt welcomed. Excellent experience all around for my first morning encounter and the coffee was a delicious treat. Small place with a calming atmosphere. First visit to PA and stayed in Fishtown. This is an amazing coffee shop in Fish-town. The handcrafted drinks as well as the quality of bean used are top tier. It is not a big coffee shop with tons of room to lounge around, but this little place packs a very big punch to the coffee scene in Philadelphia. After getting a bag of beans from them it left me questioning myself and what I thought was great. I grew up in California and we had a hot coffee scene. To me it reminded me of blue bottle coffee when the beans were fresh and coffee was good prior to them over expanding and dropping bean quality. Out of the 10 places I have tried so far in the Philly area this one actually…well….wowed me. Thanks for a great cup and a small batch bag of coffee that is worth its weight in gold. Would rate this a 10/5 if I could. I had the chocolate croissant and was bummed when I finished it. It was delicious. I also ordered a cappuccino with oat milk and it was incredible. Such a cute cafe with great service! Will definitely be coming back and bringing my fiancé!
