They help poor people but to attract good shoppers they fail as they have an extremely inefficient system of only letting one person at a time into the boutique where people can find more quality. The manager and volunteers have an attitude. If you're lucky, someone tells you that you need to put your name on the list to shop in the boutique. Then you still have to wait half an hour or more until your name is called. I mean: Who does that?? Certainly not people who value to be respected with their time or who have a job.

Everyone here is always super sweet and super helpful. I am very much thankful that they have this here for people who need a little extra help every now and then. The first time coming here the staff was warm and welcoming and they helped me quickly and efficiently!

I was a single parent of 3 beautiful children, and had the pleasure to be helped by people's place way back when they were still on Broadway. I now have the pleasure of giving to the community with my services of mastering the Mind based on my own experiences and my journey in life to teach others to ride the storm of their struggles in life. As far has been a great success and gives me great pleasure to give back to the community that helped me when I needed it. Thank you to all the staff for your hard work and dedication you are all beautiful souls and your dedication does not go unrecognized. What people's place do for the community is so much more than a blessing, and I am honored to be a part in helping . May God bless you all. The people at this establishment are always smiling and very welcoming. I get to pick what I need instead of being giving whatever they are trying to get rid of. This is one of the most organized food pantries I have been too. Also, the thrift store has some really good items at great prices. All in all, they definitely deserve the 5 stars.

Very Friendly staff. The whole place was clean and organized. Display of items are like high end dept stores. I especially love the boutique! Prices are reasonable too!

Boutique items are way overpriced and some sit there for months. But the rest of the store is amazing with great prices!

Good cause unfortunately the original goal...the people has been lost in the mix quite a bit. Many (not all) staff paid or not are completely rude and unprofessional. They treat you like a criminal in there and then now more recently they are taking what people donate to be resold for very little for the people that shop there to be able to afford for very little and they have changed it, taken the name brand things and stuffed them in a room that they call a boutique and charge a lot more $ than most can do. That is not right and should not be allowed. They allow one persons at a time in there and it’s greedy as a set up. Then they leave the less enthusing items out for regular sale. Also they put nice free items in the hall as you walk in but if you walk in with it you get yelled at loudly (I’ve seen it and it turned my stomach) and it’s embarrassing for people that had no idea. People have to grab what they can walking in or it’s gone quick. Often people walk or come with carts and don’t have a car to go put it in. These items are donated. I get they raise the money for food pantry and dinners rules but it shouldn’t be at the expense of taking away from the people I used to frequent there to support he cause but I barely go now. I won’t support such a way.

People's Place is a kind and generous organization, my son and I have been able to receive clothing and food during these harder times in our life. I'm so thankful and grateful for the amazing and wonderful volunteers that make me and my son feel comfortable and offer a helping hand.
