This was just a great experience! This place has a magical flair. We had some tostadas and the papaya salad! Wow! So much flavor. The waitress was very funny and so cute. We were happy that we made this trip over the highway. Amazingly fresh with lots of vegetarian/vegan and gluten-free choices. The food tastes fantastic, and we’ve been there three times – consistently great! The fish taco, green papaya salad, Jack fruit burrito and elote ceviche are must-tries! Santiago, our waiter, is fantastic – he explains the menu thoroughly and is really mindful of allergies. The tuna and watermelon tostado was particularly delicious but most of the food was a sure bet. The tostado was a great combo of fresh ingredients and contrasting flavours. Staff were friendly and very knowledgeable. Prices are pretty standard for a fully staffed restaurant at Puerto Morelos. Nice little place with outdoor seating with the dining area covered from the elements. Located on the main hub of the town and I would definitely suggest mosquito repellant if you sit against the wall. By far the best food of our trip! The caldo is deep and rich in flavor. The aquachile was zesty and perfect amount of kick. The black and tamarindo salsas were one of a kind. While it is casual, the menu selection is something you would see at much fancier, more expensive restaurants. Fresh ingredients in creative, delicious dishes set Pecao apart. The service is always excellent. The only detractor is that it closes at 7pm, so it's great for early dinners. The best place we ate at while in Cancun and the surrounding areas. The wait staff was very patient and took their time explaining the menu when asked. The owner was very down to earth and helped us when we asked for suggestions. Kid-friendly and the food was amazing. The ceviche was very fresh. I told the owner how much I enjoyed the hot sauces and he packed them in small containers. I even ordered take out for the next day.
