This place is a GO-TO BAKERY! Lunch was very good and the tomato spinach-feta quiche was very soft. The quesadillas were impressive coming from a French restaurant. But the BAKERY!! All of the sweets here are just amazing. Triple chocolate mousse-amazing. Tiramisu-amazing. Just make sure to reserve sweets because they usually run out very quickly. Overall this place is a go-to bakery for locals and tourists! 5/5

The absolute best bakery in town! My family absolutely loves the pastries and desserts at Patisserie Bechler. Chef Gerard is very talented and puts so much time and effort into making such unique pastries. I have requested several custom orders and the service is always impeccable! I recently ordered two cakes—Black Forest and a Passionfruit Mousse—for my daughters baby shower. The cakes were stunning and delicious, and everyone asked where they were from! We also absolutely love the mini mushroom and broccoli quiches, the mini eclairs and fruit tarts, the Napoleons, and the lunch sandwiches. Everything about this bakery is perfect!

First time visiting the area. I was brought here to grab a coffee and a pastry. Variety of pastries to choose from. The seating area has a home garden appeal surrounded by succulent plants. I ordered the blueberry muffin and every single bite was heaven. The crisp top melts on your mouth of deliciousness.Right when I was about to finish - endless amounts of blueberries for the grand finally. The best blueberry muffin I had.

Patisserie Bechler, a charming bakery located on the Monterey Peninsula, is an absolute gem! We used this authentic French bakery for our daughter’s wedding, and we could not have been more pleased with the result! Gérard, the pâtissier/owner wholly realized my daughter’s French wedding cake dream – the Croquembouche. Gérard went way beyond the classic croquembouche, crafting the reception’s pièce-de résistance. The guests were all in admiration of this piece of art, including the French relatives who contemplated whether their local pâtissiers back home could get close to creating such a beautiful croquembouche. We were sold on Patisserie Bechler from our first meeting with Gérard. Having arrived a bit early for our meeting, I was graciously welcomed by a staff member who sat me at a table, in the lovely Alsace-decorated seating area, with a cup of coffee. Gérard showed up right on time, with a huge smile and a “let’s make your daughter’s dream come true” attitude. Gérard has an incredible personality! He is engaging, warm, full of humor and goodness. We face-timed my daughter for the meeting since she was not local. Gérard took notes and shared photos of croquembouches he had prepared for past weddings. Gérard also guided us in selecting an assortment of petits-fours to complement the flavors and aesthetics of the croquembouche centerpiece. We held one more meeting to finalize details. Gérard also volunteered to communicate with our wedding florist about decorating the croquembouche with fresh flowers, one of our daughter’s visions. The result could not have been more perfect! Not only were the croquembouche’s dual-flavored choux and assortment of petits-fours delicious, but the visuals of the dessert table were exquisite. Guests were overheard stating it was all too beautiful to be eaten! We wholeheartedly recommend Patisserie Bechler for any special occasion. Gérard’s undeniable artisanship will permit him to craft any design or specific request. The process will be a delight and the result will be flawless. Lastly, we were enormously grateful that for such high-quality craftsmanship, Gérard’s prices are extremely reasonable. We may be done with weddings for a while in our family, but anytime we are in the Monterey Peninsula area, we will be certain to stop at Patisserie Bechler for a delicious treat and a delightful chat with Gérard!

One of my favorite bakeries, the bee hive cake and bear claws are fantastic! Also nice place for having a coffee, cozy atmosphere and great service. Very reasonable prices, too. There's a fast EV charger across the street, very convenient (that's how I found the place).

Fantastic spot with a beautiful view of the bay. Legendary blueberry muffins. All the pastries are solid though. Plus ample room on the patio to chill and enjoy.
