I love this place! The pizza is to die for. It is not too salty like other typical American-style pizza. It is so satisfying, flavorful with generous amount of tomato sauce and olive oil.
I don’t remember the name of the round-shaped bread in the plastic tray but it’s yummy! Not overly sweet, just grainy enough. I guess it’s a kind of cornbread, but the texture is pretty soft rather than cakey or crumbly.
Very bad experience. I’m here to pick up the too good to go, my pick up time is 5pm-6pm, I arrived at 5.45pm, but the shop is closed and no one pick up the phone that is listed outside their door. Also, they didn’t update their business hour on google map, so it showed OPEN! I checked before I set off but I still get scammed!!! It took me 40 minutes to get here but it’s a completely waste of time, I’m so pissed!
Ordered a chocolate cake with vanilla frosting for 25. The cake was moist and rich. The frosting was not icing, but old school bakery whipped. It was enough for 35+ people. Enough for people to take some home and then the staff dove in. That morning, I arrived an hour and a half early to pick it up. It was not ready, so it was hand delivered on time and without cost to the Winthrop Arms. Thank you to Hilda and her staff!
I come here for cookies,cakes and pastries. They bake everything here and you can smell it down the block. I recommend this place for all the sugar lovers like myself. Not a lot of parking but the lot is never full
So I just moved to Chelsea about a month ago and I just went to my corner store and grabbed the pond cake to have as a snack because I normally smoke my cigar and have coffee but why did I take a piece before I smoked and sipped my coffee and couldn’t smoke with my coffee but had to finish this instead smh I’m in love 😍
