We had no issues. The server was attentive (if a bit busy) and was very helpful. The food was enjoyable. They treated us well. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person €5–10 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Beware of this place, it is a blatant tourist trap. We came for breakfast, and ordered two coffees, an orange juice and three toasts with butter. Instead of the toasts, they served us some kind of garlic bread and when we asked them they told us that it was a typical Vila Real breakfast, that they wanted us to try it (?). When we asked for the bill, it was 19,30€, just for three lousy breakfasts. We felt scammed. Meal type Breakfast

I would have given 5 stars if it wasn’t for the fact that we were (over)charged for a dietary change. I was charged €4 more on top of the price of an omelette because I don’t eat cheese or ham and asked to replace these ingredients with a little tomato and onion, and asked for 1 extra egg in the omelette, which we were told we would only be charged €1 for. €11 we were charged for a vegetable omelette (no cheese) - what a rip off!!

Très bonne surprise L’endroit ne paye pas de mine mais la nourriture est faite maison et de qualité. Le service très sympas et ils comprennent le français. Les prix sont très accessible

Restaurante al lado del Palacio de Mateus. Muy buena calidad y precio más que ajustado. La carne está exquisita y el bacalao gratinado, espectacular. El mejor de los 4 o 5 que he probado por Portugal. Ideal si visitas por la mañana el Palacio de Mateus. Tiene tu ambiente una buena carta de vinos y tienda para comprar productos.

Restaurant à éviter les plats servis sont une insulte à la bonne et généreuse cuisine Portugaise, quantité insuffisante pour le prix. Restaurant à touristes. Accueil simpatique, lieu situé juste en face du palácio de Mateus, la carte est rédigé en (portugais, français, anglais et espagnol), service rapide avec serveuses bilingue, bien servi et bon concernant le repas avec rapport qualité prix correct.
