Ou Meul is a delightful find! Their coffee is top-notch, rich and full of flavor, and the bakery items are irresistible. The real treat, though, is the view - gorgeous mountains and peaceful countryside. Plus, you might catch sight of the wine train. A perfect spot for a relaxing coffee break. Highly recommended! A beautiful bakery and restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere. Nice to see local farmers and artisans' products being sold in the farmstall. The food was very nice, although service was very slow, despite it being a very quiet day. The farmstall is incredibly expensive and prices are definitely catered to international tourists, which is a pity to us locals. Overall a great experience. Sooo disappointed as Die Ou Meul is always tops. Ordered a croissant after I made sure it is available as it was not in the showcase as in other eateries of Die Ou Meul. Relieved the coffee and reminded the waitress, she told me it was warming up and on the way - when a dark brown croissant was placed in front of me she told me it was baked from frozen. They should inform patrons there is a long wait and serve the items together. I left the very brown outer as it was not nice. This establishment is not on par with the other establishment who are proudly Die Old Meul. Came here for a birthday last year and enjoyed my meal. Visited again yesterday because my husband love's Ou Meul pies, but this time our experience was unpleasant. The area stank of what I'm assuming is manure, and there were so many flies around. We enjoyed our coffees, but the pies weren't fresh, the pastry was chewy like it's been in the microwave, and my husband's pie was cold in the middle. This is the worst Ou Meul pie we've had compared to other branches. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

Lovely, hidden coffee shop ideal for a breakfast ride or just a quick lunch next to the road. They have the best Bobotie pies and coffee available. They also stock local produce from places such as Babylonstoren. Highly recommended! My first time visiting. It was a pit stop on our way to Franschhoek and what a lovely pit stop this was. The staff was super friendly along with a cosy, rustic, easy atmosphere.
