A delightful pit stop. Elegantly done. Amazingly, the bakery sells a wide variety of sweet baked goods. Apple crumble, chocolate-and-pecan croissants, and sticky Cinnamon buns were on the menu. However, the juicebar, freshly made sourdough, pies, and sweet baked goods all appeared mouthwatering. Blankets, soaps, vellies, jams, and vinegars of all kinds, among other delightful things, are available for purchase there as well. A children's play area complements the lovely outdoor seating. We stopped by for an early breakfast. It is wonderful that they are already open at 8 am, which is then an easy stop, if you leave Cape Town early. I had an avo & egg on sour bread. My husband had the croissant filled with scrambled eggs and bacon. Both were very generous portions. We grabbed pecan nut and apple crumble for a road snack. The venue is beautiful with lovely gardens and a large playground for the kids, under large trees. There is also seating at the playground, should daddy want to watch the kids. Worth the stop. Great place to stop, amazing food and lovely staff... HOWEVER please be VERY AWARE of your valuables in your cars when parked here. There are no cameras and there is security or warnings of CAR BREAK IN'S and remote jamming here. Lost a great deal of goods out of my car this last weekend and would have been more alert if there were at least some form of a warning! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

It is great to have our own Ou Meul Bakery and Cafe!! I'm happy to say that I was the second customer on the very first day they opened. I'm impressed by the lay-out of the shop, I love the separate entrance for take-aways. If you have time, do enjoy a sit-down breakfast and coffee or a light lunch. The place is great for family and is pet friendly! The staff is always friendly and very helpful. Sometimes it gets really busy, have patience, take the time to connect with your friends or family! As I am an elderly, the staff always makes me feel special! This is my 'happy place'.

We been sitting here for 2 hours and poor service. Food order wrong twice. Food was dry. Boerewors dry and over cooked. This was the 3 time here and definitely the last. The food is outstanding, the service is fast, efficient and the staff are always happy to help. A wonderful breakfast of French toast croissant and earl greg tea A wonderful gift shop full of items to take with you from hand wash to body lotion to locally produced linens, and don’t forget the deli. It is well stocked with coffee and food to take home with you to make the experience last longer
