Really good food, staff is nice and the place is great. You might have to wait a bit for your food to be served, but it's great and fantastic. I had the prawns, maybe a bit overcooked but tasted good. The meat was served just as ordered, one wanted it well done and another mid rare, and both were spot on and very juicy. For starters we had katfish, wow! And snails, with cheese, the taste was great but if you are really snail lover, it might be too much cheese. Taste is good, though. Walked in to be greeted by friendly staff, order beers and it arrived ice cold in a flash! After ordering my meal the turnover time was alot faster than I expected and the steak was made precisely to my request. Serving staff are very vigualant and ensure that youre dinning experience is going well. Overall a good and warm experience from a restaurant that undoubtedly strives to succeed in a small town. My husband and I had dinner here on 27 February 2024. Service friendly but slow fortunately expected that since it has a pub feeling. Food was worth the wait. Old Sailor Swakopmund is a restaurant you sure would want to try if you fancy food and atmosphere. I was there for a quick take away. Their stake is fresh and sumptuous and softer than all stake dishes I may have tried out there. The owner is friendly but the stuff there are so rude especially the girls. they will literally gossip about other clients right infront of you not knowing that you understand what they are saying. Although the service is friendly and helpfull our food was not that delicious as we hoped for. The sticky spare ribs were not at all tasty. It only had a burn flavor and that’s it, no stickiness nor bbq flavored. The chips is great though. For the service I’ll give 4 stars.
