A gorgeous, atmospheric bar that you must make time for if you can! I saw the five-star rating when hurriedly googling for a quick drink-stop before our journey onwards, but was surprised and thrilled by this delightful bar. I loved the attention to detail, from the warm welcome and the bartender's effort to go out of his way to accommodate our drink request, to the rustic decor of the beautiful heritage building. (Oh, and the discerning play-list of 70s/80s classics!) Wish we could have stayed longer, and will certainly visit whenever we can return! Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

If you are ever near Lake Kawaguchi, check out this bar. The owner is incredibly kind and patient. Perfect for English speakers. It was the best bar atmosphere I’ve ever experienced in a while. Went here on a whim and this quickly became our favorite bar we found during a visit to Japan. The bartender is also the owner of the 100 year old building and was nothing but friendly. The drinks were outstanding and we especially loved the OarBlue cocktail. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Such a lovely bar - beautifully designed and has a great selection of crafts beers and whisky. And the best Lemon Sours! The owner is very welcoming and the locals will sit and chat with you over a drink! If you're in Kawaguchiko, definitely pop in for a drink! It's the perfect spot to relax 😊 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Fantastic place with a perfect selection of amazing Japanese craft beers including some from Uchu Brewing! Friendly staff, english speaking with lots of taste to make a great experience for customers! Last customer entry doesn’t mean the bar closes immediately😉Oar blue is a reference to One Piece 🏴‍☠️Thank you Wataru and Lisa, my friend and I absolutely loved Oar Blue! ❤️

We absolutely loved our time here at this bar. It was nice to meet the owner, and we had fantastic conversation over some delicious craft lemon sours and local whiskey. We even had the chance to meet some locals! Truly a memorable, stand out experience for my fiancé and I. Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
