Super friendly service! The poke bowls, tempura and fried rice are delicious. They have deals throughout the week so make sure to ask! Haven’t tried their sushi yet, so may update my review once we do. We had lovely experiences with Raquel as our waitress! She is very kind and attentive. I’ve posted their menu in English Incase it helps! Some of the items are a little pricey for the portion size but overall the food is yummy and comes out hot! So happy we ate at Nikkori Sushi. We were staying in the neighborhood and found this spot while we were walking around. It was a fun spot for lunch on the patio. The food was fresh and delicious, and I was really happy to see the vegan options :). I loved the build your own poke. We loved all of the pictures on the menu of the sushi, it helps so much! Ordered take away from here twice since my stay in Tulum. It's just average really... not bad but no wow factor either. Some of the food is quite bland... The lady who takes your order inside is quite abrupt... I know it's not personal but she's the person you speak to so not sure who's bright idea is to have her be front of house. If you're lactose intolerant... about 90% of the sushi rolls contain cream cheese so make sure you ask for this to be removed! Service Take out Meal type Dinner

SUMMARY: 4/5. Standard decent sushi place. The fish is REALLY fresh and delicate, but some of the flavours are lacking. Good prices. Samba roll: really good fish, melts on the tongue. Sake hand roll: okay, but all rice at the bottom. Kewpie mayo would MASSIVELY improve it! Only light low sodium soy sauce offered, so not salty enough at all. I would really recommend that they get regular Kikkoman soy sauce in, as well as kewpie mayo, and offer it to guests as well. That would've made everything soooo so much better! The mojitos were okay and the atmosphere was decent. There was a weird old playlist on loop and there were flies everywhere, but they can't help the flies! We were glad to find sushi in Tulum, but our experience wasn’t satisfying at all. Sushi were bad, rice tasteless and fish was so thin that it was even hard to feel, no wasabi and ginger at all. Broth for Ramen is a miso soup((( We were sitting outside at the evening so they burn something in front of restaurant (I don’t know what was the purpose) the smoke was so dense and it was hard not to cough. Curry udon is so bad. It’s not Japanese at all. And it took 1hour. I can’t understand . Gyudon is so bad too. No eggs. So I had to cook eggs on it. Only few cube steaks with rice. Hand rolls and sushi aren’t that bad considering this is Tulum and not many Asian restaurants.

Oh my goodness did this place hit the spot! I was looking for sushi and it was amazing. We ordered two rolls, a build your own poke bowl, and the mixed yashai yakimeshi.
