Really tasty food and good size portions at very reasonable prices. We didn't realise the meal came with salad chips and rice and we accidentally ordered extra. It was loads of food but we took some home for the next day. Very nice staff and the restaurant feels very nice to be in. Would definitely go again

Fantastic food and service. I’ve been in Portugal for 2.5 months, and this is the absolute best meal I’ve had. Not to mention a Great price. We were there today and had the plate of the day - roast duck and it was absolutely fabulous and only €15. Also had a steak dish which was so tender and delicious. I can’t recommend this place enough.

Authentic, traditional Portuguese dining experience. Good quality food, with large portions at reasonable prices. Extremely popular with both locals and tourists, which makes it challenging to get a table quickly - be prepared for a wait. Making reservations is almost impossible as they often can't be bothered (or are too busy) to answer the phone. Poor service - even when you show up you have to identify and literally chase down the person to get your name on the list for a table, then stand around with the large crowd to hear your name called. Wait staff is often overwhelmed and therefore short or borderline rude at times. Service is very slow, even by Portuguese standards which we are accustomed to. Overall, the experience could be improved but they're so successful, despite the shortcomings, that I suspect nothing will change.

Authentic Portuguese cantine type restaurant. Wild boar bbq, mariscada veal, soups. And lashings of vino. It’s not fine dining, but it is wonderfully part of the culture. Great value.

Excellent food and service. Beautifully cooked fish (Gruppa) and the wild-boar is sensational. Highly recommended restaurant and the value for money is unbelievable. Great choice of wine too.
Incredibly, this place, located in the middle of nowhere, is huge and always full. Make a reservation, or else, in spite of the huge 200 dining guest capacity, you're liable to be declined a table. Whether on your own or a large group celebrating a special occasion, you'll be welcomed and feel at ease in what appears, at first, like a large assembly hall! The food is good and amazingly plentiful. Try the House specialty, a delicious bacalhau. The kitchen is open until very late, so if you feel like having a middle of the night snack, this is your place of choice. At the end of the meal, no pain, the check will be as sweet as the excellent desserts! Highly recommendable.
