The service here is terrible.l dont recommend eating here at all.We got our chicken and ate it.When it was finished we received our french fries then after 20 to 30 minutes we got the wedges.The food was cold.We odered ice cream and got it after an hour.Only one came and after about 20 minutes another one and after another 15 minutes another one.Only one person was eating at the table.Shockingly the place was not even full.The poor service here is shocking.This is how the ice cream looked. Shocking service. Was told our order would take 15 mins. After 20 mins, we checked on the order and it wasn't even on the system. Staff were less than interested. Only saving grace was a chap clearing the tables that tried to get the staff to assist. Had to wolf our food down in about 2 mins and then sprint to the security so as not to miss our flight. Had a short time before my flight and was torn between which place to eat. I thought eating at Nandos would be a safe bet, but I was wrong. I should have passed on by and chosen one of the other places. I ordered the new festa roll. I was told it would take 6- 8 minutes. 25 min later, I got a roll with hardly any pulled chicken or cheese sauce. I took it back where more sauce was added. Being in an hurry, I bit in to it as I was rushed for time… it was the most awful thing I have ever eaten. I kept noticing that the “pulled chicken” tasted weird and had a weird texture and crunch. I thought that the crunch was from the fried onions but my gut told me otherwise. I opened the roll and what I found was bits of what looked like cartilage with bones in it. It had been burnt and it was roasted until it was crunchy. I kid you not, it was not pulled chicken but what looked like scraps of cut off ends of chicken that no-one wanted. I gagged there and then, left my roll and rushed to the airport bathroom. I was super late so I had no time to chat to the manager. Needless to say I was sick the entire flight and felt so grossed out. Won’t be returning ever. I chatted to my JHB friends who said that the OR Tambo nandos is the worst and that the never eat there. OR Tambo Nandos is the worst 😢😢they took their time to deliver my order though they said in 10 mins it will be delivered .The floor manager who wear’s spectacles failed to help me when i placed my order using a wi code voucher that is expired even though i know very well that it will go through,he just didn’t want to listen to me when i told him thag this voucher will go through .I think from my experience he needs to go back to his drawing board in terms of management skills . But all in all am not happy n did not enjoy my meal😓🤮

This is the most horrible Nandos, in fact the most horrible restaurant on earth. My family & I ordered a meal while waiting for our flight and even after an hour our meal was not ready. We enquired about our meal from one of the male waiters who asked us for money so he would speed up the process, to cut the long story short we got RAW CHICKEN WHICH WAS TOTALLY UNCOOKED AND JUST DUNKED IN SAUCE, most horrible meal. I will not recommend this particular restaurant, after this encounter it took me time to even go to other Nandos outlets. This Nandos needs new management and staff, in a city like Johannesburg and in the airport for that matter, you can’t afford to have such incompetent staff!!! No! Staff are friendly and food is great. We were a table of 6 and the orders were a little mixed up but they did try their best to make sure everything came in the end. Great place to stop for a bite if you’re in the terminal between flights.
