We BOOKED a table for 14 people.
The food arrived in 'dribs and drabs' so some people finished eating before others received their food.
For the most of it, the food was tasty, but the chips were hard or 'glassy'.
The steak was also not as ordered.
Overall a disappointing experience.

Weekday Lunch with my wife. Nice casual dining and a chilled vibe. Very Delicious food, loved the garlic lemon and herb sauce. The Kingklip was really tasty. Prawns nice and fresh. Great service from the staff and our waiter. Will definitely go back.

My boyfriend and I decided to eat at this restaurant for Valentines day. Prior to going there we called to make a reservation but was told that is not needed and on the day we just needed to come through. When we got there at 7:25 we were told to sit upstairs. When the waiter arrived we placed our order right away. We ordered squid heads for a starter but was told due to loadshedding the fryers was not working (which we understood) and then ordered 2 combo meals. The first combo was ribs,6 medium prawns and chips. The second combo was ribs and 4 queen prawns(my boyfriend decided to upgrade and pay extra). We order 2 coke for drinks). The drinks arrived 45mins later and the drinks was warm. We told the waiter that we did not want warm drinks and if she could exchange which she did. Took another 20mins to get colder drinks. I was extremely patient for the first 1,5hrs and then I followed up with the waiter and told her we are hungry and how much longer. She apologised and said the kitchen only had 5guys working and she is pushing. Finally after nearly 2 hours. The first combo arrived alone, it was ribs and 6 medium prawns, no chips.THE FOOD WAS ICE COLD , i sent it back and then it was microwaved (picture attached- i ate 1 rib and my boyfriend ate1 rib before i snapped the picture because we was dying from hunger and the extra long wait. Bare in mind this was at 9:20pm and my boyfriend still didnt receive his meal. He ended up eating from my incomplete meal. This place was a horrible experience and i will never go and spend my money in a place that has such terrible service. Our bill was over 400rand and bare in mind this excluded my boyfriends meal which we did not end up eating because it came when we was leaving which was 9:40pm. Such a huge disappointment. No floor management in site to even complain. Mozambik Ferndale sucks!

Food was exquisite & flavourful.
Service from our waitress was average, didn't check in with us, before that I asked for tomato sauce, she came back with something else (drink I think), anyway when asked about the tomato sauce she says "I didn't forget, ill bring it now". She left and 5-6 min later she comes when my chips/ fries was finished already.
We also needed to ask other waiters to assist once.
Anyway, we spoke to the manager Jane, who was really understanding and who listened to us.
Maybe she just had a bad day (told this to Jane as well), but for food that I pay for, I will make my convers known.
Overall, 7/10...could've been a 9.5/10.

Non existent service. Was a quiet night on a Wednesday with 7 tables. It was not busy at all, unless that is the maximum amount of tables you can manage. Waited an hour and half for our very average food. No warning that the wait would be this long and our waiter dissapeared because he had to go help in the kitchen. Won't last long with the bad experience.

Calamari
My wife and I got married on the beach in Mozambique and each year we make it a point to eat at the restaurant, however two days ago we celebrated our anniversary and decided to visit the Ferndale branch aside from our normal spot. Firstly to use a WhatsApp line is pointless as it is still not read until today. Was met by one person and thereafter had 4 different waiters. The atmosphere at the top outside balcony was not bad but some dinner music would be nice. Drink orders were taken, I said castle and got Amstel but left it. Starters took over an hour to arrive, which aside from my wife's drink order was the only thing that our waiter got on par for the evening. Food order was only taken near two hours after multiple requests for the waiter to return and near to closing time for the kitchen. Spicy peri peri chicken was lemon and herb so thank goodness for the sauce and at the end the bill was handed over with sweets in the folder and no bill which had to be asked again. I am not knocking on the restaurant chain but the branch in question needs a lot more attention to customer requests, service and overall better experience. We shall just go back to the branch where we are used to top experience. I would still recommend it for the food experience as it is good portions and fresh.

Chicken Livers
The service was excellent. Bafana was a great host. Friendly and very helpful. He recommended the Line fish and it was very tasty, and the calamari heads were fresh and crunchy. Everyone greeted us on the way in and as we left. Wonderful service and food.
