A long while ago we went for lunch at Mona Cafe which is situated in the Ravenswood Shopping Centre
Lovely little shop, cake stand full of different cakes outside the entrance, which I didn't try.
Clean and neat interior, and very nice simple decor.
They have a nice selection on their menu with something for everyone, unfortunately execution not so great and service a bit slow. We had the Gourmet Hot Dog (on a board with Gerkhins, Tomato Relish and wholegrain mustard mayo served with fries) It was the weirdest thing. A hotdog cut in half and flattened on a roll, with a few slices of Gerkhins and some Mustard on the side of the plate. How is that gourmet?
The Prego Roll. (Either with Fillet steak or Chicken breast with the special prego sauce.) Bread and chicken was completely dry except for the sauce on the side.
Bacon and Avo Burger (150g Homemade Pure Beef Patty, Bacon, Avo & Tomato Relish) avo was already browning, but otherwise OK.
Chicken & Mayo Tramezzini, decent portion size with the chips.
Open sandwich - Chicken Mayo with crispy bacon bits and Avo.
I had my Cappuccino with cream, but the coffee was not hot. We didn't really order desserts except the Plain Jain Waffle to share and a Chocolate Cupcake to say Happy birthday.
Will go back again to try them as they should be more settled now, and to see if the cakes live up to what everyone says. 😀

Staff are always friendly and professional. Great service and great tasting food. Their carrot cake is my fave but they have a variety to choose from.

Beautiful Café in Ravenswood. The food was amazing! The menu has quite a variety of dishes and so reasonably priced. Their breakfast is all day (our personal favorite), they also have plenty of cakes to choose from (which doesn't help when you love cakes as much as I do but our waitress helped and she didn't disappoint)
We visited for brunch. We ordered the loaded waffle, chicken souvlaki, and a slice of chocolate cake. Unfortunately the cake did not make it for a picture but it was so delicious!

My third time visiting this restaurant this time for lunch.
I had a mojito and a crispy chicken burger(very affordable) - both were good.
Service was also great.
Would recommend.

What a cute and stunning cafe. Finally went there and got the mushroom burger. The food was amazing and the portion was enough, i was so full afterwards. The waiters are also nice and welcoming. I am going back again for the lovely cake i saw outside.

Amazing cakes, ordered a slice of the death by chocolate and carrot cake. 🥰 DELICIOUS!! We also had the jalapeño burger and the banana and bacon sandwich. They had chai latte's as well, that was quite lovely. Would love to try more of their menu😊

My friends and I had a lovely meal, the salmon wrap was delicious as was the chicken wrap. The chicken salad is also highly recommended. The server was attentive and our food was served promptly.
I can recommend a visit to Mona's.

We where at Mona's today and that was AMAZING. Our Daughter loved the place. She cones from Centurion, we stay in Boksburg. The food was delicious and thatcwas our 4th time there and for sure not the last!
