A great cultural and culinary experience. I attended this class on a surprise birthday trip and I've got to say it was a day well spent I learned about history, culture, science and culinary techniques all in one experience. Ale is an amazing teacher and makes the most basic dishes taste like a 5 star meal attention to detail impeccable!
Amazing cooking class! This is a must! Alejandra taught us a lot! It is very hands on and very interesting and she made sure we had the recipes before we left.
Located about 10 minutes drive outside Puerto Morales. 50 minutes from Playa del Carmen centro. Located off the beaten path in a very nice jungle setting. This Mexican cooking class will teach you about the regions of Mexico and how to cook authentic, mostly Mayan, recipes. Tacos pastor, cactus salad, stuffed pablano peppers, sweet tamales and several salsas. Chef Alejandra and her team is very nice. She'll give you a tour of her garden explaining what everything is and why it's grown that way. You'll learn a few cooking tips and knife skills even if you're a knowledgable foodie. You'll leave well fed and get to taste some tequila. Recipe pdf and apron included. Recommend letting Alejandra arrange transportation ahead of time or you'll pay way too much to a taxi driver.
The cooking class was so much fun and informational to learn authentic Mayan and Mexican cooking. The food was delicious and Alejandra was an amazing teacher!!!!
Hands down the best experience you will have. Chef Alejandra was amazing. She is not only a great person to share stories and experiences but a great chef and teacher. All recipes she showed us were very simple but tasted fantastic. This is the most authentic experience and food you can and will have. They are also very accommodating if you have dietary restrictions as long as you let them know ahead of time.
What an amazing experience, learning to cook awesome dishes and getting to eat them 😋😋. Alejandra is such a great chef , full on knowledge and passion for the Mexican way of cooking . The setting for cooking school is so colourful ,welcoming and relaxing. Would definitely book again when we are back in cancún .They sorted out our pick up from our resort and drop back after so seamless.

Amazing experience. The chef was very sweet and created a very friendly and fun environment. The kitchen was adorable and super clean. Food was excellent, and I am so excited to take all the meals I learned to share with friends and family on a Mexican night.
This was the best experience of our 8-day Holiday in Mexico. We stepped away from the resort life and jumped right into the local authentic kitchen. Chef Alejandra was a pleasure to learn from and answered our questions to make us understand how the flavors mesh, compliment and balance properly. Having lunch at the end of the course that we prepared with her guidance was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Will return next time we are here. Thank you!
Great experience for the whole family! Our two day program included a Chichen Itza guided tour, a visit at Rosalia’s home to meet her and experience and taste the traditional cooking followed by a swim in the Cenote close by and the second day an excellent private cooking class with chef Claudia. The program was perfectly set up, Claudia is an experienced guide and the whole program was appreciated by everyone in the family. We recommend this to everyone going to Yucatan!
