This place is just beautiful. Every corner, the pool and the view. Having dinner or lunch or a coffee here is a pleasure. If you buy a certain food minimum, you can swim free, so I would recommend bringing your swimsuits and a towel! You have a wonderful view, also at night it is very very nice. The design of the restaurant is perfect. You have plants, beautiful seats and very comfortable spaces to sit. The bar is very nice and you can sit in the pool and ask for your drink of food. Also, we tried the fungi risotto, it was delicious! Totally recommended. We had the cheesecake, not soft and not so tasty.
You can really enjoy your time here!

The foods, drinks and service are exceptionally amazing. The staffs are very friendly and professional. Only regret I have is that I didn’t find this place earlier. The price is not expensive at all considering their excellent quality and exellent service. I 1000% recommend this place ❤️

Michael was awesome, super friendly. Aside from that, I almost walked out after being promptly greeted between timing I could finally order something (not a lot of patrons at the time as well). Ceviche was great, really fresh. Upon trying to pay, a female server thought it was more important to have other (resort-attired) guests pay first. Was not my ideal way to spend time and money.

This is a great place to go if you just want to have some drinks and hang out in the pool. We had some appetizers and they were good, but a bit expensive for what they were. The service was good and it had a very nice and relaxing vibe.

Bring your swimsuits and a towel! If you buy a certain food minimum, you can swim free. (we didn’t wait 20 minutes after eating to swim, so my mom would’ve been upset ;)
Elegant food, elegant cocktails, in a wonderful setting.
First, it’s amazing that you have use of the pool if you buy a certain amount of food.
This was just the lovely pool break we needed after days of adventure. We were staying in a solar-powered off-grid overwater bungalow, which was wonderful. We enjoyed swimming in the Caribbean, and would often just wake up and jump in the water from our deck, however… having a nice refreshing pool was a beautiful break after days of adventurous snorkeling and hiking. Sometimes it’s nice just to hop into a cool freshwater pool and refresh from all of the salt water.
The food and drink were all outstanding, with one exception which I will detail later.
The cocktails were creative and beautifully presented. I love a great cocktail, but presentation goes a long way with me as well. And these were lovely.
I had the spicy chombo tequila and it was beautifully balanced.
My husband had a lychee martini. It was pretty, but my drink clearly won! The lychee could’ve been a little bit more forward facing from a flavor profile.
My kids had a tropical smoothie and a very berry smoothie. Nicely done.
The food was also beautiful (see photos).
We sampled a variety of dishes. My one complaint was the octopus tacos. I love octopus, and I’ve had it frequently, and there is a place in my hometown that makes it beautifully. And I am accustomed to it being very, very tender, almost as if you can cut it with a spoon. While the flavor of this octopus was good, the tenderness was just not there. It was OK, certainly not super chewy, but it wasn’t beautifully tender like I’ve had in some other places. I was hoping since it was local, it would even be more tender than the octopus I’ve had in the past.
But the rest of the menu was outstanding!
I also had the ceviche, which was so fresh and the flavors were really interesting.
My daughter had the vegan superfood bowl and was raving about it!
My husband had the pink sauce fettuccine, and it, too, was excellent with tender noodles. Again Great flavors!
My son had been the napolitan chicken, Milanese, which was good, but the cheese could’ve been a bit more melted. It was served with a lot of nice mashed potatoes. I just love the fact that the menu had something like that for my picky eater; otherwise he is only looking for something like fried chicken, which is sort of what it is, but at least, it’s more adventurous!
We also had the fish Tiradito (you can see how we did not have a hard time making the spending minimum requirement to swim in the pool).
I finished the day with a refreshing Aperol spritz. Perfectly refreshing!
The service was quick but not hovering.
Sometimes the drinks took a little while, but it was because they were so lovely and smoothies and other specialty drinks take some time to craft!
We continued to visit other restaurants in Bocas, and I kept pressuring my husband to return to Meren, but it did not fit into our schedule. This was my favorite restaurant in Bocas town! We are even looking at the hotel that is attached to it for a future stay. It was just so elegant.

We LOVED our visit to the Meren Pool Bar during our trip to Bocas. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Cocktails were so yummy and the food was very tasty. Portions were a little small but the prices weren’t too bad. The pool and deck area felt very clean and you can’t beat the view!

Amazing food! Great flavors with really nice presentation of dishes, combining both traditional and caribbean elements, resulting in a great new option in Bocas that definitely increases the food level of the area. I cannot finish my review without mentioning the great staff, they all made us feel like home. Please be kind, they just opened and are in the process of adjusting details, but definitely a new must-go in Bocas!

The best pool in Bocas! 😍 I love the views from this place, plus the bar service in the pool! Its also the perfect place to dress up and enjoy a nice dinner with a glass of wine or some cocktails. The mushroom risotto is a one of my favorite dishes and is great for vegetarians!
