Wow! and not in a good way. I ordered a burger my partner a toasted sarmi that took over an hour an a half to arrive, and when it did the toastie was burnt , and roll for the burger stale. "Home fries " were Mcdonald chips, (i'm willing to bet they are not made in house, and are rather just frozen McCain fries) mushroom sauce was cheese and garlic with nudda mushrooms. i dunno If the waitress had said the kitchen was busy or battling then maybe some forgiveness for the time it took- the restaurant seating itself was not even half full. they even got my beer wrong. and the prices - R54 for a 330ml beer... R221 for a burger like this. come on Bonus negatives - ran outta ice, asked for the bill, after 10 minutes just got up and went to the counter to pay, and the extra couple of minutes to fix the beer screw up. I was so looking forward to eating here and popped in for a pizza and beer. Waiter was great. My pizza had pineapple, yes I know don't judge me I like pineapple on pizza! But they used tinned pineapple which is really a no no for me. It's a pity as the pizza would have been great if fresh pineapple had been used. When I asked the waiter he just shrugged. I gather being the waiter it's not his fault. So noted. The menu, personally, is to big for this establishment but that's my opion. Focus on fresh ingredients and not tinned.... Superb food - well prepared with fresh ingredients, good variety on the menu. Excellent view of Hoekwil and surrounding area and friendly helpful service. Great little shop on site for a few local treats and gifts. There is also a jungle gym for little ones to enjoy.

11 November 2022 The Eats: Roma Pizza (Pomodoro sauce, Salami, Tomato, Rocket and Mozzarella) E Fungi Pizza (Shrooms, Truffle Oil and Mozzarella) Aidan’s Carrot Cake Frangipani (Blueberries and almond tart with ice-cream) Chocolate shake Pros: Great shake Good service Neat and pretty restaurant with a lovely vibe The pizza base and sauce tastes very authentic The puddings were delicious Cons: This was the most expensive lunch of our Garden Route trip The pizzas are not like your usual take-away pizza. It is more authentic Italian with less toppings. You can argue there is not enough toppings on these pizzas and are a bit dry (especially the mushroom pizza) We wanted to have the famous cheesecake, but can one pay over R70 for a single piece of cheesecake? We had dinner overher3. We had a pizza (breakfast with chicken) and the funghi pasta, delicious! We wanted to Come back, but we had to leave the area earlier. Nice place to eat for dinner! This kind of quality in a small Village like Hoekwil, bizar. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Sadly they were short staffed that day & to be fair we had not booked, so the service was not that great but my food was tasty. Otherwise a pleasant little place. Show them support. They also have a small liquor store. Situated in Hoekwil.

We experienced exceptionally poor service, waiting for over an hour for 4 pizzas and a salad despite the restaurant not being busy. The waiter was absent from our table for over 40 minutes, failed to provide updates on the delay, and other tables received their orders before us. Despite our repeated requests for updates, the waiter showed a complete lack of concern for the subpar service. Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

Had a great lunch with super fresh ingredients. This is a great stop for lunch if in the area for hiking. They also have nice cakes and pies.

Extremely disappointed with the service here. After a long journey my party and I were turned away. We arrived and I pointed to an empty table indicating that we would like to be seated. As "the kitchen was loaded" (an excuse I have never ever heard before) and "there was no space" despite the empty tables. It was bad vibes all round. Not sure it was racist but it wasn't kosher. We were too tired to argue and rather went somewhere else. Very off-putting experience. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Such a wonderful find, after getting lost on beautiful back roads from Sedgefield this lovely little spot was the perfect place for lunch. Owner run, with a menu of wicked grilled sandwiches, delicious pizzas and some incredible cakes and tarts. The blueberry frangipane tart was exceptional.
