This place is great! Their Pan Dulce is delicious ! You will never find fresh pan Dulce anywhere else in Bowling Green. Been a customer for years and their pan has always been my Favorite . Customer service is also great. Jose and Jackie always have a great attitude and smile and I love that about Mercadito.
It is a small store, a bakery, and a restaurant! The bakery goods are conchas and other sweets and some breads. The restaurant is only doing take out currently and has a select menu that includes papusas, tacos, tamales, etc and a host of sides for a good price. My meal came out quickly and was packaged well for the ride home. My papusas were tasty and very cheesy. The tamales say spicy but are not, but I enoyed them just the same. The staff was helpful and friendly. I would recommend stopping in and trying this diamond in the rough.

First off thank you. I’ve been coming here for many many years. I can never get enough of their food. It’s always made fresh and with love. Service is great you don’t have to speak Spanish because we all understand what food is. Non the less there are people who work there who can help you get your order and help understand the food for whatever you’re hungry for. They’re amazing at what they do. It’s a restaurant and grocery store all together. The have baked goods. A butcher. Many many sections to choose. I always order then walk around the store and just try something new. I love supporting this family. Don’t let the location and atmosphere stray you away everyone is friendly. Again this is for sure a hole in the wall meals.
🤗 Even though these madcap Google map folks initially sent me to a defunct business, once I found Mercadito Hispano I was pleasantly surprised. Though it's a rather tiny market, they make great use of the space and as you'll hopefully see from my photos, their vast array of Hispanic offerings is impressive. In particular, you'll want to try one of their fresh baked goods which all look equally yummy. There's also a terrific selection of dried chilis and other seasonings plus plenty of refrigerated and frozen goodies to get your creative culinary juices flowing. Bonus points for the friendly staff who will happily answer any questions you might have. Also loved that it wasn't even slightly crowded and that they welcome EBT cards for those who have one. 💯💯💯
Guac is really good. And Staff is very kind and friendly. Will come back for more chicharrón
Wow! It’s real food! Fresh and delicious and incredibly spicy if you want. Price is right, and so are portions.

Little store with big bang. You can get fresh cut meats that are harder to find at grocery stores. They have specialty items like clothing and accessories. Products they'd normally get from their country fresh pastries which are so good. A restaurant with many options and yes the food is great. Highly recommended.

A great spot that adds to the character and diversity of Bowling Green. The food is always fresh, and reasonable. Authentic Hispanic food, served up quick...Ive been a customer here for almost 10 years! At one pointed I showed up right when they opened their doors around 8 a.m. and asked of I could order tacos, tostados, and papusas, and was able to get my taco fix first thing in the a.m. thanks to the awesome ladies! The little market also has some of the best chichorrnes fried fresh every a.m. and fresh cut meat at a super fair price. Theres a little baked good area, and a huge drink assortment.. The store is always well stocked and the employees are very helpful, and if there seems to be a language barrier due to me not being bilingual, there has always been someone available to help me with my orders or find an item. *I always order my food, and then browse the store and buy anything I may need while waiting for my order to finish up* (The one star lacking is due to cleanliness, I love this place and recommend it to people anytime they ask about authentic Hispanic food, special candies, or are in need of ingredients thats hard to find anywhere else for special dishes, but I don't want someone to read my review and have huge expectations & be thrown off when showing up, the building itself is very old and the area of town is too...but the food is fresh, tasty, and the people cooking it know what they're doing, it just could be a bit cleaner.)
Mercadito Hispano is the bomb! I love this place to the max, they always have amazing food! And the store connected to it has a decent variety of Hispanic groceries, it even has a bakery in it!
