Melly Mel's catered my July 2023 wedding and to say the entire experience was fantastic would be an understament.
I spent years as a wedding planner working with great caterers and some not-so-great caterers, and I was fairly selective when it came to hiring my own wedding caterer.
My fiance and I wanted to work with a local caterer who offered delicious food with great service at a reasonable price. And Melly Mel's exceeded my expectations on every level completely.
Their soul food is so amazingly delicious. Every single guest - including people from both coasts and the south -- said it was not only the absolute best wedding food they have ever eaten, they said it was the best southern food.
We ordered fried chicken, baked chicken, smoked pulled pork, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and gravy, cornbread, collard greens, and banana pudding. All of it made from scratch and mouth-wateringly good.
The tasting with Carmell went so well, and she is incredibly friendly and accommodating and organized.
And I cannot rave enough about the presentation of the food at the wedding. I wasn't expecting anything fancy, but their on-site team served everything out of gorgeous silver domed chafing dishes -- it was so nice.
The on-site team was INCREDIBLE. They were friendly, prompt, assisted with service, and went above and beyond in every aspect.
If you seek catering, you will absolutely not go wrong with Melly Mel's!

Amazing! I ate at Melly Mel’s when they had a storefront in 2012 when I was visiting from Iowa and never stopped thinking about it. Fast forward to today, I knew she was only doing catering, but a few weeks ago I reached out to her and asked if she would let me order a feast for my new husband and I to enjoy in our hotel room while in town for our honeymoon, and she kindly obliged. Carmell is so kind and I wish her the best in everything she does. Her food is incredible and you can really taste all the love she puts into what she does. Carmell catered our wedding, and it was the best wedding food I've ever had in my life. We had fried perch, fried and baked chicken, mashed potatoes, mac & cheese, cabbage & kale, coleslaw, and cornbread. The guests won't shut up about how good it was. She even made the sweet potato pie that we had for dessert instead of cake. 100% recommend her catering for your next event. I'm seriously drooling while writing this, just thinking about that mac & cheese.

Melly Mel's catered my company's Thanksgiving and it was incredible. Food arrived on time, hot and ready to serve. Every morsel was decadent and unbelievable. We had a wide spread and then topped it off with four different deserts. Wow! Everyone was very full and very pleased. This was a memorable meal for my company to share. Big thanks to Melly Mel's. I could not find it for the life of me. All the entries have a list of companies within the building, it's not even on the list. I searched two different floors, and I couldn't locate it.
I also tried calling several times, but it always gave me a busy phone line noise. If you are trying to go somewhere for lunch, this is just going to waste your time.
