I used to Mazatlan quite a bit with a friend and remember it being really good. I’ve brought my family twice now and the first time my food was drenched in red sauce. So much I couldn’t eat it. Tonight we have another chance. Food was good. Was told they didn’t serve alcohol when I tried to order a margarita and that was inconvenient and I don’t understand why but whatever. Our server was…very awkward. Would just stand at the table for seconds after we would say we were good. Just quite odd. Whole experience wasn’t the best. Probably won’t be back.

There's some good Mexican style resturants in my area that are really good but this is NOT one of them. The food was rather flat and bland, I had shrimp fajitas. They sat us at a table that gave us a perfect view of the kitchen, not happy since one of the workers liked posting up there and watching us eat. The place itself was boring as the food. They had plywood dividers between booths that gave you privacy (except where i sat) but it also made you feel boxed in and in the middle of a construction site. I guess if you want something cheap to eat (and want to stay sober-no alcohol here) its the place to go, but for me its a definite no! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20

This was the BEST Mexican food we have had in a while. This place is unassuming from the outside but was quaint and clean inside. I'm from Winston but we were in town running some errands, everything was so great. Cheese and bean dip was excellent, I ordered enchiladas and my mom ordered steak she said was very tender and flavorful, I think the dish was New Mexican Feast. Everything was so good, my mom loved the rice, I thought it was good too but the beans were phenomenal! Enchiladas were on point and the red sauce was great, can't wait for an excuse to get back out that way and patronize this spot again! Our server was great too, I didn't catch his name but he had short black hair and wore glasses, very kind and checked on us just the right amount! Will definitely be back. Taco Tuesday is where it’s at! Salsa is about the same as every other Mexican restaurant but I ordered some guacamole and it was pretty dagon’ good. Of course just got some regular ole’ beef tacos and they were pretty good as well. The ice is off the chain. I would recommend eating here! It’s pretty tasty!!!!!!!!!!

Umm, service was very slow. Menu is limited. Could use a deep cleaning and some new light fixtures. The food was bland. Ground beef was almost gray. Rice was pale and lacked flavor. The good, the street tacos was actually tasty. And they give a military discount.

This place is okay. Just your average, run-of-the-mill Mexican food. The specials are good and we like to take advantage of Taco Tuesday! Make sure to go early or else the restaurant will be so full you won't be able to find parking! The chicken tacos were good, but the fried potato tacos were anything but! They were full of MASHED POTATOES! No fried potatoes whatsoever! Other than that, the food was okay and the service was friendly!

The restaurant itself isn't bad. It's the food being so generic. The salsa is very runny definitely not made in house. The chicken was very dry. The funny thing about our meal is when we are seated. My wife and I look to the wall next to us and see a switch. A switch to what we wonder. So we ask the waitresses what the switch is for and she said " I don't know, just flip it" . Lol Then we overheard her ask her manager what it was for and he said to turn on the outside light . This is me and my boyfriends favorite hide away , the owner is so sweet and will insure a great experience if anything is wrong , the staff is equally amazing they go above and beyond and we just love coming here .
