I work across the street, it's convenient to walk over and get groceries. A small market with a good butcher and surprising variety. Lots of foreign snacks and deserts. I often find good deals on chicken and fresh fruit.
Best produce in the area, always friendly staff around to help. Great selection of international foods. Just make sure to take your time as you browse the isles. Lots of hidden gems.
The food prices are exorbitant. Bought a pack of okra for $2.6, after cleaning the amount left was less two servings. A small bag of spring mix cost $5.6 at the store , whereas the big bag of spring mix cost the same at Jewel.
I used to love this grocery store until they started giving me trouble for bringing my service dog. I have been bringing her to this store for over 2 years. The staff is well aware that she is a federally protected service dog. Two men started giving me trouble about a month ago, every time I would come in. They refused to let me shop and instead wanted to argue about service dog laws in the middle of the aisle. They have lost a lot of business from my family, friends, and other people with disabilities because of the way they treated me.
There are so many good things about this grocery store. Based on my experience before, it was not really a good one, which is why I just recently visited the store after a long time. There is ample parking, and I went here early in the morning, and there were only a few people. I was expecting fresh and the best quality produce, meat, and seafood, and I must say, the store succeeded in my expectation. But, before that, the store was clean and well-lit, and everything was well-organized and in stock. Moving on to the produce, they have a wide and different selection of produce that anybody could want. The same with their selection of meats, seafood, and just basically all the grocery items inside. Their groceries are not just fresh and of the highest quality, but they are also reasonably priced and somehow cheaper than any grocery store I know or have visited. Even though they have great groceries, there are also a few that are noticeably more on the downside, which I think is fine as long as I do not have any problems with everything I needed and as long as I do not buy any expired or spoiled products.
Great deli and produce.
I enjoy custom-made sandwiches
Pick out a roll or bread and add what you want meat cheese toppings.
Produce is dependent on what is in season.
Folks were chucking corn husks on the floor when the manager decided to make an example by yelling at a couple of senior citizens. He yelled at them and even after they apologized he continued to harass them and he even kicked them out! I guess it made him feel like a man to pick on the elderly and not someone his age or size.
Thank you Marketplace on Oakton...
I have been coming to Market Place on Oakton for the past few months and I am so glad that I found this store. They have a great selection of produce and meats, as well as some Spanish foods that are hard to find in other stores. The store is very neat and clean with lots of space to move around in.
