A local friend strongly recommended this place, stating as his favorite, the most delicious, and ugliest place in Baja California. The description could not have been more accurate. Food was amazing, we had a ceviche, governor tacos, estrella tostada (fish, shrimp and octopus) and a lobster. Place seems like it’s falling down but the food was amazing. Always a pleasure to enjoy this lovely food, Lorena and her husband are really nice people and make everyone feel welcomed, this time we had the biggest martian crab they had and it was just delicious. Aside from that we ordered fish fillet, shrimp tacos, a different type of crab and some drinks, if you are in town, you must visit La Estrella, close to Rosarito but far better than Puerto Nuevo Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $500–600 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

We came here to try the spider crab or as known in Mexico the Martian crab. Weird looking creature, but very tasty. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We picked our crab and they asked how we wanted it prepared. Our choices: natural, spicy or garlicky. We picked garlicky. I also ordered a shrimp appetizer served with fresh onions and cucumbers, and some avocado. Very good food, and the prices were reasonable. Just remember to be careful, the traffic around is crazy and some drivers are jerks.

Same day fresh seafood. It's $4US to park and there is a cluster of restaurants, La Estrella is next to the shore. I recommend the aguachiles. The aguachiles plate has a distinct flavor that I can't put my finger on, perhaps less salt but it is mighty delicious

I was really craving some fried shrimp. Sadly they didn’t have it on their menu. So I opt for salsa en diabla, it was okay. Not fried but what I wanted but still good. Also had the fish tacos and 1 order for crab cooked in garlic sauce! Highly recommend fried crab in garlic sauce . Could of done without the loud music playing outside but other than that our bull came out to $48 US dollars . Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Came to find the Martian crab ask on a few places and they where asking 200 dollars per small crab and it will take over a hour to prepare we find marisco la estrella they had the crab on ice chest outside the place and it was prepare on minutes the place is manage by the owner clean simple and the service is great it is a a experience and you will get wet great food staff Recomended

We had a great time enjoying the view and of course.. The food was delicious. "Spider crab" 🦀and grilled octopus🦑. Fresh seafood I will definitely come back again☺️

If you are into fresh Martian Crab (Spider Crab)this is the Mecca. Very flavorful we ask them to make it spicy (A la diabla) the lady had not made it like this we where the first.Would not get it any other way Great service and quiet so you can have a conversation. Will come here every time i come to Popotla.
