Came here yesterday with the whole family and had a great time, the food is wonderful both Mexican and Italian & the bakery is impressive! We will definitely come here again. It was cutely decorated for Valentine’s Day. Everyone was extremely friendly.

Pepperoni Pizza
A wonderful authentic Italian dining experience. Maria's
has only been opened for five months and the buzz about their delicious food attracted us here. Every dish we ordered was delicious. The service was outstanding and their dessert selection is amazing. We truly enjoyed dining here and will definitely come back next time I visit Toms River.

Trying out another New Restaurant to us for Lunch
Kit chose the Meatball Parmigiana Sub, I had the Sausage Parmigiana Sub and we also had Garlic Bread w/ Cheese
Everything was delicious, fresh and more than enough to eat.
Definitely a place to swing by again for one of the other menu items!!!

The best garlic knots I've found in Ocean County and beyond. They were crispy but still soft inside with a ton of real garlic on top. The bakery case selection was large and all looked excellent. I brought home a couple conchas and I cannot wait to go back and buy more! 😍 Wonderful little spot, will be returning to try more!!

Being born and raised in Italy I rarely order Italian food out but this place came highly recommended so I had to try it! And we ordered a few times and we tried the pizza, dinners, sandwiches and desserts.
All I can say is WOW this place is by far the best Italian place around!!!

Garlic Knots
Words cannot adequately express the sheer delight I experienced at Marias diner pizzeria and bakery, a hidden gem where the worlds of pizza and bakery collide to create a culinary symphony. From the moment I stepped through the door, I knew I was in for a gastronomic treat unlike any other. The sweet bread was impeachable with its absolute cream filling and soft insides it was obviously freshly made in a warm cozy oven. The pizzas cheese was unlike anything I have ever tasted 8.8/10 rerstaunt just needs louder music.

I had take out food. Pizzas was very good. Antipasto salad was large, sauteed broccoli was well cooked. Large meatball parm sub was good. Prices are reasonable. I would recommend. The place is very enjoyable. I would give 5 stars but that would be diluting the value of ratings. 4 stars is the best a local food establishment can expect. Try it out, you will not regret it.

We came to Maria’s tonight for dinner and I’d give it 6 starts if I could, we ordered garlic knots. pasta & a pizza to go and everything was incredible! Don’t pass up this place

Pepperoni Pizza
This is not your typical Italian restaurant/pizza parlor/bakery and the owners make no attempts to disguise that, but don't let it put you off. This is also a Mexican place which you can't help notice walking past the rotisserie and toppings bar for tacos as you enter the restaurant. There is also a large pitcher of horchata and what I believe is homemade sangria. Jarritos beverages are available and Mexican blankets are used as table cloths on some of the tables. I wouldn't recommend this place to impress a date, but it is one of the quietest restaurants I have been in, so if you can avoid staring at your cell phones, you can actually have a conversation across your table. Adding to the oddities is the location. It is sandwiched between Coury's body shop and the car wash, so it is only easily accessed heading North on 166. If you pass it, you have to cross route 37 and U-turn or head up James St and get back on 37 to turn on 166 again. This could be partially why prior restaurants at this location never lasted very long. However, I hope they do stick around for a while. The pizza is good, but doesn't wow you. The crust is a bit thin, but there was a good amount of sauce and cheese. The chicken parm dinner was enough for two and while served with a small salad (with a tasty balsamic dressing) there was no bread. This was surprising because they are a bakery, so you would think their bread would be a feature. The bakery case you see in the Google pictures is there, but did not have the selection when I was there. We bought two of the sprinkle cookies for dessert and were surprised they were also chocolate chip. When I paid I happened to catch a couple of bakery racks near the kitchen entrance that contained many of the baked goods missing from the case. I will likely be back to try some other items. But if this place wants to take it up a notch, they need to work on the decor both inside and out.
