Seemed a bit crowded/ tight squeeze. The food was good. Service was pretty good. Another place where it seems petty to charge for chips and salsa refill. Drinks filled to the brim with the ice and only allowed one refill, but the glass was pretty big. Went here for lunch on a Thursday. It was busy, but we were seated quickly and received our food within about 15 minutes. 💃 Steak and Shrimp Fajitas: excellent presentation and came out on a warmer which was a nice touch. Could have used more salt and spice for an overall better flavor. The shrimp, however, were perfectly cooked and had awesome flavor. Came with lettuce, pico, sour cream, guacamole, rice & beans. Also came with corn or flour tortillas, I chose flour. 🥩🍤🌯 Chicken and Beef Nachos: we ordered a 1/2 Nacho. Good portion size, decent amount of protein. The dish lacked overall flavor, and again could have used some additional spice. Didn't love the pickled carrots, but I know that is more traditional for Mexican food and dine night enjoy it. 🍗 🇲🇽 Complimentary Chips and Salsa: who doesn't love chips and salsa when going to a Mexican restaurant? Both the chips and salsa were great, although the salsa was mild at best. I prefer closer to medium, but I know salsa can vary when using fresh ingredients. 🍅🌶️ Mango Colada: ordered this for my son since it was his birthday. The flavor was really good and the presentation was festive. Better experience than expected from a strip mall restaurant. Recommended by a coworker, my wife and I visited at 5:30 on a Friday evening. The place was packed. We were seated within 3 minutes of arriving. Once seated, a large bowl of chips and accompanying salsa arrived, while we looked at the large menu. My wife ordered a diet Coke, that was brought out in a large glass mug with lime wedge and a maraschino cherry (nice touch). I had the enchiladas Acapulco and my wife had the beef chimichangas. The portions are large. Very large. The food came out quickly, 10 minutes, and was deliscious. The quick table service is the reason we found a seat on the busy Friday night. The interior was decorated for a Mexican Christmas, complete with several Santa's. The restaurant appears to be family operated. The unique leather chairs are very comfortable too. We will be back. On a whim we stopped by this place after driving by it. We looked at At the reviews and they were stellar. The wait time was about a half an hour. The staff was kind and efficient. The portion sizes indeed are huge. My wife and I ordered a carne asada burrito and a non alcoholic pina colada. The Pina colada was truly fantastic. It came in the pineapple and we could barely finish it. The carne asada burrito from a presentation standpoint was fantastic. There was something about the meat that was not fantastic. We got a lot of gristle. All of the rest of the plate was very good. We love Maria Bonita - been coming here since they opened 20ish years ago. The piña colada is amazing. If you happen to order the flautas, take it from me - share with at least 2 other people unless you love lotsss of leftovers! Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

I had an amazing experience at Maria Bonita Mexican Restaurant! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The decorations and ambiance were delightful, creating the perfect atmosphere for an authentic Mexican dining experience. The food was simply wonderful, and I especially enjoyed the complimentary salsa and chips. While the chairs and tables were a bit close together, it didn't significantly detract from my overall enjoyment. I can't wait to return for more of their awesome authentic Mexican cuisine. The service was great. They use WiFi enabled ordering via tablet, so our appetizer arrived at the table while we were finishing our drink order. Pretty cool. The food was okay at best. I will admit to a pretty high standard for Tex-Mex from years of living and working in Texas and California oilfields. This was not "the good stuff," but they make up for lack of quality with quantity and good service. To me, the quality did not justify the hype or the crowd, so I don't think I'll be back. They got my order wrong I asked for a simple corn cheese quesadilla, they gave me Flour…. The waitress spilled a drink all over my boyfriend’s lap, the rice and beans were cold and not good. After we were finished as we were walking out we saw the SAME Waitress spill a drink all over somebody else… we could not believe it…..Waitress was also all over the place couldn’t understand a word she was saying…… would not recommend. This place is awesome! The atmosphere is incredible, tons of cool paintings and authentic Mexican decor. And the food is amazing. I always get the shrimp flautas but I know there’s lots of other delicious dishes. Their specialty drinks are also amazing. The presentation of them is awesome and they taste incredible. This was a great Mexican restaurant! It’s a little small and crowded but we went at lunch and the workers were happy to accommodate. The portions here are large so prepare to split! I got the Carne Asada quesadilla which is a appetizer, but it still packed a punch! The chips and salsa were also really good. Quality Mexican food location!
