I was in need of a sandwich whilst shopping and doing some odd jobs and this place fitted that requirement perfectly.
I had a smoked chicken focaccia sandwich for 12 dollars and an amaretti type - cookie thing for 5 dollars.
Both were tasty and very well made, a solid place if you need to grab something in a pinch like I did

No doubt some of the best cabinet food in Dunedin. For something sweet try the almond croissant, and if you’re after something savoury don’t look past the pork fennel sausage roll. Great value for a decent serving including a salad of your choice. Coffees have always been good, hot and cold, and the free sparkling water is also a nice addition. Sometimes the service can be a bit hit or miss, however the food and atmosphere make up for it.

Stopped by here for a quick coffee. The coffee was good and staff friendly. Very busy which is always a good sign. Very central as located in the Wall Street Mall. They also serve a lot of hot and cold food but did not try this during this visit.
There is also a small shop which sells a variety of different food/cooking related items.
Overall highly recommend this cafe to others.
I had the big breakfast. The poached eggs were nice, but the bacon, greasy and fatty. No grilled tomatoes, the mushrooms which were minimal, still had the storks left on them, and where was the hash browns? One sausage. This was suppose to be the big breakfast, hence, I was still hungry when I departed!
This is not a bad stop if you were shopping in the mall in central Dunedin. Service is pretty good generally, however, you get a feel that staff are rushed off their feet at times. It’s not unusual to see absolute no eye contacts as they go around and some running on the floor to bring back your meals.
Coffees are good, baking is pretty good too, salads a bit average and lots of carb loaded cabinet food.
Good place to buy a gift for a foodie friend of partner.
Another quick solo visit while doing shopping in the mall. Tried freshly carved store made ham. Yumm. The French chef super friendly and knowledgeable, gave me a slice of the sourdough bread. Then this gorgeous cute waitress gave me some butter for my bread. Great chat, laughs, yummy food and spot on coffee. We have a winning formula here. Thanks Chin and the team
Sunday shopping rest place. Good coffee, half chips done extra crunchy with double aoili. Perfectly executed. Very polite wait staff. Bought some ham from the deli, very scrumptious. The almond croissant was out of this world. Thanks team for yet another memorable experience.

Cupcake was soft, moist, and had a velvety icing. Salad was good, one of the few places I found that does a good salad.
The chicken waffle were very sweet from the sauce, with lots of sauce on the meal. Quite overwhelming with the sweetnest. Did not really enjoy it.
Such lovely staff! I was in Dunedin for about three days for work purposes and i enjoyed getting coffee from here. The staff are so lovely and kind, my day started on a good note. And one must try their cheese scones!! So good, I can’t stop raving about it
