This is an Italian restaurant that is off Cowan Lorraine Road in Gulfport. It has been open since November 2022. The atmosphere is awesome. The food was spot on, and the staff are warm and welcoming. The co owner James will make sure that your dining experience has been great. They have a well stocked bar for adult beverages and Aaron will welcome you and serve you with a smile. Tried their meatball sub, which was awesome. The meatballs were cooked perfection they have a different flare on french fries. They were good also. I would call them spiral fries.. their chicken Parmesan was superb. Chicken was fried and juicy, red sauce was spot on and pasta cooked to perfection. If you haven’t been there, you need to try it I would recommend this restaurant to anyone that loves good Italian food at a great price, they do offer daily lunch specials, but remember they are closed on Tuesday.
If you are local, give them a try, you will not be let down. If you are traveling, they are only a short distance from the I-10.
I had an excellent lunch experience. The hostess was friendly, the decor is modern and gives an elegant, upscale feel when entering. Our server Cecilia was absolutely amazing. She was friendly, professional, personable and attentive not only to our table but to all of the guests. For what started out a rough day, it was so refreshing to have such a great customer service experience. The food and the drinks are beyond amazingly delicious. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of service and the quantity of serving. I do believe I have found my newest favorite restaurant. Definitely recommend dining at this place and remember to wear some sleeves. It was a bit too chilly for my liking. But my overall experience was top of the line.

Mangiamo! #1 pizza without a doubt! It has been challenging, finding the “right” pizza, especially being a Brooklyn native. There are three top pizza places on the MS Gulf Coast, but when factoring in freshness, the perfect crisp on the crust, the sauce, and the fresh toppings, Mangiamo’s is #1. We got a large 1/2 Meat Lover & 1/2 Vegetarian. Perfect! We ended the night with the best cheesecake (NY style, but made at a local bakery) with fresh raspberry drizzle & blueberries & whip cream on the side! Delicious! Great service by Chloe and awesome management (thanks Chris). He ensured we were greeted & got our first bottle to the table within minutes. Not far off I-10. Worth the drive! We’ll be back.

Bread and Olive Oil
We eat here about once a month. We normally have pizza and it was good as usual. However, I was disappointed in the staff this time. We waited over 35 minutes for my takeout pizza that I was told would be ready in 15 minutes. During the time I stood and waited the conversation between wait staff were appalling. I then had to wait almost another 10 minutes after my pizza was ready to pay my bill. The pizza was good but the service was certainly lacking tonight.

Tonight we dined at Mangiamo for a birthday dinner, and it was a five-star experience! This was my first and definitely not last time experiencing this place. The pasta was exceptional, bursting with authentic Italian flavors. The service was top-notch, with attentive and friendly staff making the evening memorable. The cozy and inviting environment added to the overall charm. Mangiamo truly delivers an outstanding culinary and dining experience. Highly recommended!

Chicken Alfredo
1st time here. Food was great. Had the Crab dip for an appetizer, plenty for two. Had the bone in ribeye, asparagus and mushroom risotto and the chicken Alfredo, well pleased. Then fir desert, the gelato and tiramisu, both fantastic. Wished we lived closer, we’d be here often. Coming back real soon. Great place! Mandy did a great job too!!

I’ve eaten here many times in the past year and it went from a great restaurant with incredible attentiveness to very mediocre attentiveness and staff members that don’t exactly explain the meals with great detail.
My girlfriend and I came here for Valentine’s Day for a date night and waited over 15 minutes after being seated to be asked what we would like to drink. This is understandable after watching and observing that there was only what looked to be 2-3 waitresses for the whole night. But the wait times from the kitchen was also much longer than anticipated. We decided on choosing the valentine special which just stated “Whole Flounder” on the chalk board. I asked our waitress to please describe how it is cooked and or seasoned to understand if we want it or not and we were told that it was seasoned very well and has a great flavor, that was it. Us thinking this would be a good deal since it was the valentine special, we were led wrong. The flounder was only seasoned on the outside and not stuffed. It also had a sweet raspberry glaze on top that did not match with the seasonings. If we were told it had the glaze, we would’ve chosen something else. The appetizer and the dessert were good with no complaints. But as we ate, we watched others come in and were led to the bar because they did not have a reservation. Which we realized this was causing the bartender to become very busy and backed up and they were not able to make drinks for us or other tables around us. Now today 2/15, my girlfriend and I do not feel great after eating this meal, our stomachs feel very weak and we both feel nauseous. I’m not one to make reviews about a restaurant but to see such a great establishment start to decrease like this is very saddening. We unfortunately will not be coming back for some time.

First time here and might be my last, unless I come back for the beef carpaccio (which I couldn't get because they were out of it). Let me start out by saying I had high expectations before coming here, because I heard a former chef from Stalla restaurant opened Mangiamo up with a lot of similar items from there.
~Calamari- crispy with flavorful marinara sauce and lemon aioli it in. They gave us extra calamari because they had to come out and tell us they ran out of beef carpaccio. Appreciated that.
~The Frutti de Mare was bland. It took the server 8 minutes to bring out the bread that was included with it.
~The lasagna was underwhelming.
~The polenta was okay, decent.
~Broccolini stole the show. 9/10 Loved the hint of lemon juice on it.
~Tiramisu was good, but I could do without so much chocolate on it.
The food wasn't so bad, but the service we received made our dinner experience so bad. It took 10 minutes to be greeted by someone that was not our server. When we finally learned who our server was, it took her at least 15 minutes before she refilled our waters. We asked for the check as soon as we got the dessert and it still took her 9-10 minutes to bring it out. We spent 1h:30m at dinner even though we ordered our apps and entrees at the same time. Server needs to learn how to time manage the tables better.

Visited Mangiamo around Christmas time and it was great service! It is a pretty large establishment, and a good sized menu.
My scallops and mushroom risotto were fantastic, but the food took a little longer than I thought it would. I tasted the rigatoni, it was heavy and definitely needed some acid (added lemon) and it was good.
The artichoke dip and the bread was really good! The olive cake was good, a little dense, and the tiramisu was pretty good, just had a high cream to lady finger ratio.
Overall, pretty good. Based on price, I don’t know if I would go again. Firmly “pretty good,” you know?
