Makana Confections is the best chocolate we have ever tasted. My husband and I went to Chocolate and Coffee Festival at The Cloud Auckland CBD on 9/9/2023. We were so grateful to meet the owner of Makana Confections and had a lovely chat with him. He shared some of his experiences with us and we told him that one day we will visit his chocolate factory in Kerikeri and meet him for a cup of coffee. Staff were lovely, explained the tasters and the workings of the chocolate factory! Was empty when we went but the saff were super welcoming and made it a fun experience. Went to Saturday market and just found this place. It was weekend so it was little busy. There was no cafe inside. I thought there is. Bought macadamia chocolate and lemon one. Staff was nice and kind. Price were bit high. Price per person $40–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

An absolute must stop on your trip to Keri Keri, watching chocolatiers at work, as they create their amazing chocolates and chocolate dipped Shortbread. Samples made available to try for the day, and a wide variety of treats to choose from, even unique chocolate scented candles! Enjoyed our short stop and will be back again for their yummy truffles.

So. Good. The macadamia butter toffee crunch is amazing. We brought some back for our landlords and they thought so too! Will be back for more! Love the samples as you walk through the door and the glass window that lets you see through into the 'factory' area. We also got some macadamia brittle which was really crunchy and yummy, wasn't too sweet - just perfect! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Staff were lovely and friendly, wasn't expecting the price to be so high. I understand overheads hand made all that but it still shocked me $23.50 for caramelized popcorn, And most products didn't have a price label. But it was tidy and clean.
