Loved the vibe! The food was really delicious, best I’ve had so far in New Zealand! The eggs benedict with mushrooms was perfect, nothing to complain about. The atmosphere was good, loved the interior and the music. Would definitely recommend!

It was almost closing time but we were welcome to sit on the deck and have coffees, which was amazing - see the view. Nice and sheltered from the cold wind blowing on the main street. Had flat whites with oat milk and they were delicious and creamy. Great coffee! Slices in the cabinet looked delicious too.
This is coffee shop first and foremost, looks like some people have been upset by reading these reviews.
We received great service, yes I was surprised with the statement "we'll find you"
The shop was busy and our coffees found us in a reasonable time.
The primary reason for walking in the door was to find good coffee.
My coffee arrived in a tulip cup, I'm half way impressed and the coffee was smooth and rich.
Rubbish coffee is easy to find, Coffee Co made us excellent coffee and I thank the staff for that.
Be patient people

I fell in love with the place as soon as I saw the "no trim or decaf" written on the register 😍😍😍
The drinks were superb. I ordered 2 mochas, 1 with an extra shot assuming the standard was double. When mine came as a quad shot, I was worried as my wife has never had a triple before. She liked it here, bravo! My quad was smooth and easy to drink too, and the ambience of the place is fantastic. We both loved the varied artwork. If we're ever back in Lyttleton we're definitely coming back here

Probably a reasonable spot if you like rude service with your coffee…
Look I can see why this place gets good reviews for the coffee, fit-out and general ambiance. The interior really is quite well done.
The service just generally seems to be flustered initially. We were recommended to come here by the local Information Centre. Now in fairness, we were here as part of a port day with Ovation of the Seas, so there was likely a larger amount of customers than normal. That said, when our coffees were delivered to our table, there was a little confusion about who had which coffee; this was meet with a loud “jesus” muttered under the breath of the staff member. Given how busy the coffee shop was, and the fact there was no chairs, I was leaning against a table which had no chairs at it; this was subsequently met with a “you can’t sit on the table” from a staff member, who then proceeded to bring another couple out and source chairs for them (no such offer was made for our family). My whole family felt the whole service aspect was just poor.
Note this coffee shop does not do takeaway cups. I would be wary of asking for a coffee in a keep-cup based on my experience…
I try and go out of my way to find local shops to review and try out (firmly believe in supporting local) but I would recommend taking your business to another coffee shop.
Love it. My sort of place. Rustic full of charm. Great music. Great wine and EXCELLENT food. Might have to stay another night to come back again tomorrow. 120% recommend

Lovely little cafe with an amazing view from the deck.
The food was excellent and so was the coffee. A really good range of food for a small kitchen with only one chef. It was reasonably busy and he was still getting the food out in good time.
Pretty sure I waited longer in the queue to order. Not sure if that was because the till didn't work but the guy on the counter was adding on a calculator and writing it down on sticky notes. Very old-school quaint and a nice throw back to a slower pace of life.

Went there with the family. A spacious cafe with a large deck. There are tables inside and outside with a view towards Lyttelton harbour. We had coffee and cake. Both delicious. There is a huge coffee roaster machine inside the cafe. My kid loved it. Artworks on the walls all around. The place has an open kitchen and cool vibes. I loved the industrial look. We will be back!
The cake and coffee was super nice but the staff were miserable, didn't see one of them smile once, maybe they're all just having a bad day? The music was dull and loud. The place itself was really cool, great layout and decor, if they're staff were happy it would actually be a nice place, can't say I'd like to go back tbh
