Nice place with pleasant and attentive service. There is an option of patio (enclosed/heated for the winter) or indoor. We had the hushpuppies, burger and the chicken & shrimp pasta and all three were very good. Stop by and check them out if you are in the area. Parking is also plentiful in the area. First timer at lunch today. Absolutely amazing. The spicy marg was top notch. The poke nachos were on point. And, I was blown away with the Cobb salad (added grilled chicken). Everything was incredibly fresh, and delicious. And the service… super friendly and very fast. Will most definitely be back! We went for lunch on a winter weekend- no wait! The warm enclosed patio was so nice and watching the trains while we ate was entertaining. Great food, good service, yummy drinks! Not super great- we sat at our table for about 20 minutes and got our drink order in. I'm not impatient at all typically, so we waited another 20 and never got asked for our order or even looked at. We left after that. Spending almost an hour at our table trying to make eye contact with a waitress is really silly. It wasn't incredibly busy. We watched a table directly next to us that had arrived there after us receive their food before we were even acknowledged. Also- they allow dogs on the outside porch- which is fine, but there were about 3 or 4 dogs barking at each other almost the entire time. It was really loud. Maybe if you allow dogs outside, there should be a limit on that. Just logistically. The food was kind of pricey considering what you're getting but I can't exactly rate that, as we never got our order taken lol. Maybe if I would've brought along a completely feral dog and been an avid country club member we could've experienced the no doubt elevated menu. However, if you have any breed of rich person dog or a natural air of pretentiousness about you, you should love it! :) Service Dine in Meal type Other Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Visiting from Florida we had an amazing dinner at The Live Oak Gastro Pub. The atmosphere was friendly and the servers were kind. Everyone enjoyed their meal the food was excellent from beginning and ending with yumlicious deserts. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

2nd visit here... the 1st was wonderful in all aspects - food, service, cleanliness, atmosphere. The 2nd visit was exactly the same. We have tried to dine on three other occasions, but the line to get in was very long and didn't have the time to wait, but we would have waited if we were able - this is how good this place is!! Dahria (?) is just the best - she always makes sure thar we have all that we need, and she is quite nice. The place itself is relaxing...even the restrooms are nice - clean, pretty. We drive over from TN. This is, by far, the best place between Johnson City and A'vl - definitely beats any places in JC area and better than most places we have eaten at in Avl!!
