Overall: 4.5/5 (dine in)
Pirate On Cloud ($14): This was really good. Love the sweet coconut flavor. It would be perfect with curry to balance out that savory taste. The only complaint I have is the amount as it was mostly foam.
Genie In The Carafe ($16): This was also amazing and tasted like boozy honey chrysanthemum tea. This was the opposite of the Pirate On Cloud in terms of volume. We got so many pours out of the little carafe. 100% worth it!
Moo Ping ($8.50): This comes with 3 juicy meat skewers. It was our favorite appetizer of the 3 we tried.
Luna Mushroom (13): This was a cool concept but the taste was just okay. The mushrooms weren't dried out enough so they were crispy. The topping shape makes it hard to pour the whole thing into your mouth. It also didn't have much flavor so I would skip this.
Pad Thai With Crab ($17): They gave a generous amount of fresh crab. It was one of the best crab Pad Thai we had. The flavors were on point.
Mild Roasted Duck Curry ($26): The roasted duck sat on top of a bed of bok choy and was really good. It was juicy, tender, and fatty as expected. The curry wasn't too salty but the amount is very little that you don't need rice to eat it with. For the price, I was expecting more curry so -1 point for that.
Pork Jerky LV ($8): Dry. Would not recommend.
Both of the drinks were refreshing and creative in their own way so we would come back for the bar. The food was a hit or miss depending on what you ordered but was mostly good. The service is slow and it takes a while for the food/drink to come out so expect to be there for at least an hour.

During many of my solo dinner outings, I stumbled upon LAMOON on a quiet evening. To my surprise, it turned out to be an exceptional establishment. From the outside and the surrounding area, LAMOON could easily be mistaken for another hole-in-the-wall restaurant that specializes in takeout food, but as I stepped inside, I was greeted by a relaxing and pleasant atmosphere that set the tone for the entire evening.
The ambiance at LAMOON is truly remarkable, lending an air of sophistication and elegance to the restaurant. The soft jazz music playing in the background added to the overall vibe of the evening. Upon being seated, I realized that LAMOON was an intimate restaurant meant for couples.
One of the standout features of LAMOON is its diverse menu. As someone who enjoys different types of food from around Asia, I was delighted to see a wide range of options under one roof. It is not often that you find a restaurant that can successfully combine flavors and dishes from various Asian cuisines, but LAMOON does it with finesse. Whether you're a fan of Thai, Chinese, Japanese, or Vietnamese cuisine, you'll find something to satisfy your palate. The dinner I had was nothing short of exquisite. Each dish was prepared with precision, and the flavors were a delightful journey through Asia's culinary landscape. The attention to detail in presentation and taste was remarkable. The appetizer I chose was LAMOON's beef satay, which is a culinary masterpiece that perfectly encapsulates the flavors and textures of Southeast Asian cuisine. The dish starts with thinly sliced, tender strips of high-quality beef that are marinated to perfection. The marination process infuses the beef with a harmonious blend of savory, sweet, and aromatic spices. Once marinated, the beef is skillfully threaded onto wooden skewers and grilled to achieve a tantalizing char and smoky flavor. The grilling process imparts a delightful smokiness to the meat while retaining its succulence and tenderness. The presentation of LAMOON's beef satay is elegant and visually appealing. The skewers are arranged artfully on a plate, and the peanut sauce is drizzled strategically, creating a visually enticing dish that's as delightful to look at as it is to eat.
Moving on to my entree, I am infatuated with the crab meat fried rice when eating at a predominantly Thai restaurant. Recently, I had the pleasure of savoring LAMOON's crab meat fried rice, and it was a delightful culinary experience that left a lasting impression. The crab meat fried rice at LAMOON displays their commitment to quality and flavor. Each bite is a harmonious blend of exquisite taste and texture. Here's why I found it so delicious:
1. **Generous Crab Meat**: The dish is generously loaded with succulent crab meat. The sweet and tender crab meat adds a luxurious quality to the fried rice, making every mouthful a delightful treat.
2. **Perfectly Cooked Rice**: The rice in this dish is cooked to perfection – neither too sticky nor too dry. It serves as an excellent canvas to absorb the flavors of the other ingredients, creating a satisfying base for the dish.
3. **Balanced Flavors**: The fried rice is masterfully seasoned, balancing savory and slightly sweet flavors. The seasoning enhances the natural sweetness of the crab meat without overpowering it.
4. **Aromatic Herbs and Spices**: Fragrant herbs and spices, such as garlic and ginger, are used skillfully to infuse the dish with an enticing aroma and depth of flavor.
5. **Wok Hei**: The hallmark of a great fried rice dish is "wok hei," which is the breath of the wok. At LAMOON, the chefs achieve this smoky, slightly charred flavor characteristic of well-executed stir-frying.
In summary, LAMOON restaurant in Chinatown is a hidden gem that offers a remarkable dining and experience. Whether you're a food enthusiasts, jazz lover, or simply looking for a place to unwind and enjoy a memorable evening, LAMOON is the place to be. I highly recommend it and look forward to returning soon for another exceptional dining experience.

Not happy about the experience! We went there for Christmas Eve dinner… the place is small and cozy! We were 4 and ordered grilled prawns (not special) 2 fried rice and 2 pad Thai, but one was not good, its smell was off! We sent back that pad Thai and ordered other 2 fried rice. We had a bottle of wine and 2 wine glasses… we were a nice party of 4!
We got extremely upset when we asked for the bill and noticed that they did not take off the pad Thai that we sent back because it was not good, we had to discuss with the waitress because of it… the chef said that the dish was extremely fine! But it’s to the customer to say it! At the end they took off the dish but the total $ was not corresponding to the overall sum of the dishes, it was higher! Didn’t like the situation at all, we paid and left a good tip but definitely not returning!

By far one of the best Thai restaurants I've ever gone to. Food is fresh, delicious, doesn't taste fishy, just an explosion of flavors in your mouth. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Vegas now! Hidden gem!

I loved everything about this place. The food, the service, and the ambiance were all great. We had the drunken noodle and the roasted curry, which was incredible btw, then the koko cup khanom krok for dessert. As for drinks, we had three cocktails, Namaste, Hello Lychee, and Chili Cha Cha, which were all quite tasty and also the pleasantly floral pink blooming tea. Inside is well decorated with soft lighting that makes it a perfect date night spot. I will definitely be coming here again, 11/10.
