This restaurant is an ideal choice if you are in the mood for the Portuguese cuisine. You may order nicely cooked migas, seafood and pies. Taste good queijada, fruitcake and chocolate mousse. The wine list is versatile, every visitor can find something that satisfies their taste. Delicious coffee is among the best drinks to degust. As guests state, low prices might disappoint you a little. Lamelas is associated with the homey atmosphere. The average rating of this place on Google is 4.3.
Nothing to say except WOW! Don’t put your intention on the negatives reviews, they’re unjustified!
Found this little restaurant empty so I decided to stop for lunch. The food is just amazing and it’s pretty big portion for a reasonable price! I’m a restaurant owner in France, If I had their staff to work with me I’ll be in heaven! They’re super friendly and attentive to your needs! Big up for the terrace with little view and sunshine on my face! Thank you!

Starters were really good: Fried calamares, bread, lard and fried lard
Main: creamy rice with shrimp had quite some mussels mixed in, too. But the taste was delicious
Antelejo bread soup was a bit bland for our taste and compared to the rice dish (for that matter also a bit expensive)
Dessert: cheesecake was good

Amazing place! Chef-owner was clearly trained in Michelin Star restaurants. Genuine simple traditional cuisine but with a twist cooked to perfection! The mother of Chef is the front of house and gave us a perfect experience. Must go but… Don’t go until i get my permanent residency table there!
Good restaurant with good food and nice atmosphere.
I really liked the octopus salad and the fish and shrimp rice.
The pork butter and the abrotea liver pâté didn't convince me. Good desserts.
All the staff is very friendly.
High price.
Fantastic restaurant in Porto Corvo. The fish paste was particularly phenomenal. All the seafood was extremely fresh. Would love to come back again!

Love Porto Covo, and adore Lamelas! It is simply The Best restaurant I have been to in a long time. Chef Ana is a wizard with traditional and local ingredients. Her gracious parents, Fernando and Antonio, together with the lovely staff, make sure you are happy with everything. The place itself is charming both in the cozy interior and the balcony with a view.
WOW WOW WOW!! We heard about this place from the Rota Vincentina website. It has a great story about the origins of the cuisine and the owner and we were super excited to try it out.
The place wildly exceeded our expectations. Our server was ridiculously kind, gave us fantastic recommendations, and was excited to talk about the food and culture/customs underlying each dish. From the minute we walked in, she was incredibly kind and welcoming. We speak very little Portuguese and she was very willing to converse in English (and her English was excellent, not that that is any kind of requirement in our minds, but made the experience even better!)
The food was SPECTACULAR. The menu was varied (reflective of the season, and the Alentejo region, which offered another level of enjoyment and interest for us. The appetizers were all nicely plated, and different, and portioned. The main dishes were very well portioned to allow for a multi course meal without feeling stuffed by the end, but still deeply satisfying. I got a fish and clams dish in a verde sauce for my main and it was probably my favorite single item I've had in Portugal (I'm no expert, but have been here for 7 days and do explicitly seek out interesting culinary experiences). The fish was cooked ridiculously well. It was tender, flavorful, just wow.
The overall vibe of the place, despite a well trained and well reviewed chef and a delicious, varied menu, was very laid back. We were happy to chat, laugh, and overall it felt homey and welcoming. Exactly our vibe and far superior to a 'fancier' (whatever that word may mean to you) dining experience elsewhere. It fit the smaller town vibe of Porto Covo perfectly in our opinion. Everything was local, from the wines, to the dishes, to the ingredients!!
We had multiple glasses of wine, 2 desserts, two aperitifs, bread, an appetizer, and 2 main dishes for 80 euro. While not cheap, it was an absolutely stunningly wonderful experience and, assuming it's in your budget, you HAVE TO TRY this restaurant. It was the best dining experience we had in Portugal, and probably a top 3 dining experience (from food, to service, to culture) that we've ever had anywhere.

Best restaurant in Porto Covo!
Having spent a week in Porto Covo, I was fortunate enough to immerse myself in all the well known restaurants in Porto Covo. Thankfully, Lamelas was one of them.
Situated in a prime location, right next to Porto Covo’s bay, Lamelas is a very relaxing and welcoming restaurant.
I was fortunate enough to sit on the ‘chef’s table’, a table right next to the kitchen counter where you can see all the chefs working hard to please you.
The food is not cheap, but it’s reasonably well priced for the amazing quality and portion sizes that chef Ana Moura and her team deliver!
You must try the Peixe Porco à Alentejana, it’s simply a godsend!
I will definitely come back once I visit Porto Covo again.

I have been living in Portugal for 3 years and this place is really standing out. Traditional and local cuisine with a “chef (Ana) attention to details” twist , the wine list is also made of the best bottles you can possibly find in the region, and country.
Always greeted with a big smile and warmth, definitely amongst my 3 favourite restaurants in Portugal

We started off with the best octopus salad I've ever had. Another highlight was the rice stew with srimp and fish - both of these dishes make this place worth returning for. The service here is very nice and attentive.
However, the fish liver (?) pate was interesting, and another thing I wouldn't order again is the Abrótea com amêijoas, em molho verde - this dish had too little flavour for me.
All together some hits and misses for my taste, but definitely worth a visit.
