Wonderful little small batch rum distillery in Koh Samui that makes white rum from local organic molasses. You can do a tasting here and see the small distillery and learn about the process.
The vibe here is very cool and laid back and is a relaxing time out from the hustle and bustle of the island.
The food and cocktails are great too!

A very beautiful distillery for rum lovers.
David G. is probably one of a very few master distiller or the people who makes spirits living in this country, probably the only one living on Samui Islands. His rum “Samui by Issan” rum is a molasses based rum that was distilled in a 250-liter copper pot still. The rum is a the second edition of the well-beloved rum “Issan Rum” that is made in Nongkai, Isaan Region.
While the still continues its business on a daily basis, the place offers a tasting set at a very affordable prices (150 thb) which you will get to taste two rums and a syrup. The bar here also makes a really classic and tasty Ti’ Punch which is a traditional drink made from rhum, lime, sugar and served with a spoon.

The kitchen is a world kitchen which have different menus throughout the day (breakfast & lunch). They have avocados toast, pastas, pizzas & a really good cheese & Charcuterie board. But the underrated dish was the Burmese’s Salad. It was very refreshing a d very flavorful. Joe, the place’s manager who speaks at least 3 languages, was very professional and attentive.
Bring your swimsuit, they have a nice pool to accompany your Ti Punch or Mojito as well.

Recommended by a friend to try out the four cheese pizza. Generous toppings and very tasty. The beef stew was tender and flavorful too.
We came regularly to try out the menu. No disappointment.

Сначала нам рассказали и показали как они производят ром, потом предложили попробовать 2 вида рома и коктейль безалкогольный из тростникового сиропа. Ром хороший, мы даже решили прикупить себе, потому что такого ещё нигде не пробовали, и сироп тоже, для приготовления коктейлей самое то!
The food was OK.. the place has a lovely atmosphere and a pool. Nice Pizzas. Columbian Curry a little disappointing but chicken was of excellent quality.
From a tourist’s point of view, this is basically a restaurant that has a distillery attached to it. The distillery aspect is somewhat disappointing. You can a see the vats through a window but you are not allowed into the room. There is no guide to ask questions. It’s a self guide tour with some information plaques. By chance they were crushing the sugar cane while we were there so we got to see that but in essence the whole distillery “tour” took three minutes. Then you go to the restaurant. The owner was quite pleasant. We were offered a tasting of the pure rum and also some locally made syrup to mix into it as well. It was nice but nothing special. Cost 60B. If you don’t want food then that’s where the whole experience ends. Total 15min. They had a bbq on at the time we were there so you can pay to eat or pay to have additional drinks to extend your stay there but we decided to leave at that point.
Отличное место для любителей домашнего рома. Хозяева французы , приятно удивили гостеприимством , рассказали про свой продукт и угостили на пробу. После дрянного местного алкоголя с чавенга и ламай, ром показался мёдом.
Приятный ром местного производства. Первый раз были здесь в 2014 году и хозяева сами рассказывали о производстве, проводили экскурсию, дали на пробу разные виды рома на разных этапах производства. В общем горели своим делом. В 2019 году все уже намного проще. Заходи в бар, плати по 60 бат за дегустацию и покупай бутылку или гуляй дальше. Ну да, местное производство, но нет той магии и сказки среди пальм. Ром вкусный, сироп очень вкусный. Когда мы были в первый раз было 2 или 3 вкуса, в этот раз на продажу был только классический вкус и сироп. Может быть они сворачивают производство?
