This restaurant is kinda a pilgrimage for us. If you're looking for*real* traditional Mexican food this is the place. The kitchen follows family recipes passed down through generations - simply specular food! I had the Chile Relleno de Pollo my favorite. I noted that this year the spices were tamped down from before - no doubt an adjustment for tourists. I am again impressed at the sorcery brought to bear at the simple side dish of beans , so satisfying yet so simple. Highly recommend. The pollo con mole was spectacular, just amazing, so far the best one I've tried while in Mexico. Not a huge fan of the famous chile relleno though. The walls were beautifully painted. Service was ok. Price per person $200–300 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
This place is very low key. They don't have the best service but they were friendly and we've been around enough on the island to deal with so so service. It's actually a nice change not to rush through a meal. The food makes up for it. My go to for any Mexican meal is a chile relleno. I had the Chile relleno de res. I have had many (from Texas) and this is one of the best I have ever had. I cannot recommend it enough. It was so good. Cooked perfectly with a crispy outside and the poblano still firm. Nice sides including the black bean soup. We also had the chicken suizas enchiladas. I'm not sure what they're doing here but I don't think I've had any better. Is that a flour tortilla they're using? I would never use a flour tortilla with enchiladas but it definitely works. For me, I'd like 3 enchiladas and rice/beans (you get just 4 enchiladas) but I'm not complaining. Margaritas were fine as was the guacamole. I would definitely recommend going here for the food. For me they set a new standard for rellenos and enchiladas. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
The best food we had in Mexico during our 16 day stay. We ordered the black bean soup, chile relleno with shrimp, the enchiladas suizas, ans 2 margaritas. This place was a 10/10 but don’t be fooled as it’s not cheap (we spent close to $60 USD for local food). It was worth every penny though. Would come again! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We had to indulge while in Isla and get lobster and it did not disappoint! Their prices are better than most restaurants by the souvenir shops. We also got the chille relleno with shrimp that was so good! Everyone there was nice. It’s all painted really pretty and bright. It was a great meal! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

A friend recommended the Sopa Frijoles, and I’m so glad I listened. It’s delicious and presented well. This feels like a nice authentic and local experience. I’m looking forward to returning and trying other things. Meal type Lunch Price per person $100–200 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Soup
