The empanadas are really good, as are their other meat foods. Their fresh blended pineapple shakes were good also. I also enjoyed some of the sweet pastries but the tres leches was surprisingly disappointing. So I place an order to "La Espiguita Bakery" I went there to pickup my food, than an employer told me that I need to click on "accept " to the order so she can proceed to give me the order, than I explain to her that I ordered it online through "maps/Chow Now service", that there was not app so I could confirm the order, I proceeded to show the employer my order number and I even told her what were the items on my order, than the employer said that she "couldn't give me anything if I don't confirm the order" than the manager come with an attitude saying "I will not give you any order if I don't see your name on that order" than I asked for a refund because they would not give my order, which I already paid through an online service, than the manager said that "many people have tried to steal from the restaurant before and that she could not provide any services for me until she could see my name on the order" even when I try to show her the number of my order and the items that were literally on the order, she would not give me my order than when I tried to explain to her the situation again, she finally decided to give me my order, but the manager still thinks I stole from them and that I was lying to them, even when I show them my order several times. I just want to complain because apparently these manager doesn't know customer service and don't know about other services that other customers can use, in order to place an order to this restaurant, and I hope for this manager to stop giving a hard time to the customers who literally just want to consume their products, but not have to encounter the same experience because of the lack of knowledge that the staff and manager had about accusing customer of stealing and refusing to give them a refund for the food that they already paid. Everytime we come to Brentwood, we have to go to La Espiguita! They have so many different Hispanic foods, and desserts. We love the empanadas con carne and cheese ones are great too! Their pupusas are the bomb! And they got tres leches cake, and cheesecakes and all kinds of different goodies. They also have traditional drinks- like Morir Soñando! Their prices are decent, the people are welcoming. The location is right by the road and maybe a sketchy area, but we don't care -we used to live there!
