This place was truly wonderful! My wife and I visited just after lunchtime during the week on our visit to Kansas City (once a year for family), and the food was phenomenal! The service was wonderful - the owner's nephew, who has a culinary arts degree, walked us through the menu and made some wonderful suggestions.
We had a mind to just get papusas, but glad we got some of the Arabian tacos as well. So delicious! The papusas and curtido were just so, so, so good. This will be a regular stop on ALL of our future visits to KC!

When we came through the door we were greeted by the owner, he was wonderful. We sat down, he came over and brought us menus and then sat right next to us to go through the menu and personally recommend dishes he thought we should try. First good sign. We came in knowing exactly what we wanted but listened because you could tell he actually cared about the food he serves and wanted us to eat something good. He mentioned some dishes we will definitely come back and try them especially the soup but we came for breakfast and pupusas. I had their coffee which was decent and my companion had horchata which he enjoyed. We split the breakfast which included 2 eggs, beans, plantains, creama, sliced cojita, handmade tortilla and shared one pork, cheese and bean pupusa. Everything was phenomenal. Toward the end of our meal, the owner came over and again sat down and suggested an end of meal drink called Rompope. He then explained it's origin and why we needed to try it as he believes everyone who comes to his restaurant should try something new. It was a drink a little similar to egg nog with a hint of Rum. It was excellent, my companion agreed. We will definitely be coming here again. Go out of your way to come here, the people here alone are worth it.

This is one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. The food is made fresh from quality ingredients. The flavors are amazing. The service is phenomenal. The owners take great pride in their food and it shows. Joseph is very willing to explain what various dishes are and give suggestions. Give this place a try. I know you won't regret it.

Stopped here at the end of a taco tour around KC. Despite already being full from some other food, I couldn't help myself here. The pupusas and arabian taco were just incredible, and you should grab a side of plantains too. Joseph walked us through the highlights of the menu and was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Can't wait to return!
