Waited an hour for my food no one great you when you enter, had to wait at the door ringing the bell for a while before they opened, paid for onion rings that I didn't get. The potato wedges looked like mash potatoes

Beautiful place and i like the decor.
The only concern me and my group had was the cleanliness when we arrived at 8:30 floors were still dirty and there was food on the floor and underneath tables and chairs. After sitting for about 20 minutes one of the staff started sweeping but neclected the bottom of the chairs so lots of food was still visible on the floor.
Food & beverage:
Milkshakes for the most part were good. The coffee and the strawberry was a hit.members of the party also gave good comment about the glasses used.
The food on the other hand was a disaster. The 40 minute wait suggestion on the menus is understandable. Like you said it is made fresh. But waiting for a hour is not worth it if the food quality isn't good. There is no balance with the salt. The nachos beef and the chicken was very bland and oily. The bechimel sauce tasted like nothing and the food items were oily aswell.
The onion rings were super salty that came with breakfast option.the eggs that was supposed to be soft stood so long that the egg yellow solidified. One of the group complained about how salty the ommalette was as well as oilyl. The cook realy needs to tatse what they are making. Overall food was a disappointment. Of coarse this review is just to give feedback and we hope this will improve the place as we want this place to succeed.

Loved the decor, but the food was terrible. Ordered the chicken strips and chips. Thw chips were raw, and the “chicken” was nothing more than undercooked ground chicken fingers. That place won’t stay open for long - rather just avoid altogether.

Would have given a 5 star rating, but it only applies to the afternoon chef. Place is still new and has alot of potential.
Breakfast
No flour, so no waffle breakfast.
Omellette = Egg was very dry and toasted on the edges. Looks like the meal was heated in the microwave. Chips dry and not fresh.
Double Kraft breakfast= The eggs were so raw that the white around the egg yoke was still raw. They didn't serve any butter or jam with the toast. Chips dry and not fresh.
Jaffles = Mince dry, not saucy. Chips was finished and was replaced with dry, unfresh onion rings for my husbands takeaway.
I am so disappointed with their breakfast because the brunch we had before was beyond expectations.

Pap and Stew= Stew was served in a miniture potjie pot with pap in bowl on a wooden board.
Breakfast waffels= Served to perfection with syrup, scattered with blue berries. Cream and scrambled egg in small stainless steel containers that fit perfectly on the wooden board it is served on. It was worth every cent.
Music is on big TV screens. Great music and the vibe is great. Smoking allowed on balconies. Private table upstairs. Kids playhouse.
I really think if their breakfast chefs improve, and they get their wine and beer license, this place could score a 5 star all around and become a gem.

The food was delicious, however after waiting over an hour, I believe anything would have been. Me and a couple of friends went there after a hike, and believe you me, we were starving...
Confused by the lack of service it came to our attention that we weren't the only customers who have grown impatient.
The service was disgraceful and the blame was shifted from one to another. Extremely disappointed in what should've been a great experience.

As we walked in, the Indian guy looks at us straight in the eye and doesn't even bother to greet us or welcome us in. Waited 30 min for food and when it did arrive the food was terrible and cold. There's no aircons so it's boiling hot in there. After a while loadshedding started and the generator didn't kick in on time the Indian guy comes towards the steps that goes to the kitchen (I'm assuming) screaming at some of the staff members. That for me was highly unprofessional. Total lack of management skills. Knowing it's a new restaurant, atleast seat your customers and greet them. When we left they all sitting in the Indian chaps office laughing loud and watching videos on their phones. I will never come to this place EVER again even if they offered me the food for free. The waiter atleast tried, but it's pathetic. I don't see this place lasting that long. The white guy I'm assuming is the owner didn't even look our way and on that day we were the only people in that restaurant. As we were leaving, he didn't even bother to say come again or whatever you say to make your clients feel special.

Very nice place. Waiters were very nice and the food was great. I would definitely recommend this place . We had the jalapeño bombs for starters and then ordered a Kratel Kraft pizza with an Alfredo pasta . Full of flavor and very delicious.

My husband and I went for breakfast on 25 November 2023 and lunch on 26 November 2023.
Quality of food is excellent, Service is great and friendly.
I would recommend this new GEM to anyone.
