Exceptional Shan dishes being served at this "blink and you'll miss it" hole in the wall restaurant. A must-try. From the street, it looks like a tiny shop selling snacks, sweets, etc. Venture inside out of the sun, past the shopfront of goodies - Myanmar snacks, fried tofu ready for munching, cooking ingredients, etc., and you'll enter the dining space out the back. It's a small menu, but every dish that we sampled was bang-on, eyes wide open "omigawd" in terms of flavour - in the best sense. Uncanny - like being transported to a noodle shop anywhere in Northern Shan State. Delicious, tasty, heart and belly-warming. Of note, try the Shan noodles, tofu nway, and the fermented sour rice and pork wrapped in banana leaves (wa' ta' chin). Will be back to try the rest of the menu. Service was so welcoming, warm, and friendly. Staff very helpful with menu options and some dishes can be adjusted for vegetarians :) Street parking for motorbikes is easy. Car parking might be a struggle if the other shops around the area are busy (narrow road back there). Service Dine in Meal type Brunch Price per person ฿100–200 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Very tiny place with FANTASTIC Shan/Burmese food and very friendly service. The chef, Apple, is patient and kind and her food is AMAZING. The prices are very reasonable. We ordered the Burmese tealeaf salad, noodles with chickpea and tofu gravy, sour rice and pork. It came with a small bowl of soup and sour pickled lettuce. It all tasted so very delicious and different than anything we have tasted in Thailand. We will definitely be back to try more of her dishes! HIGHLY recommended for great flavour and service, you will be happy you did! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person ฿100–200 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Soup

Absolutely delicious Burmese/Thai Yai food. Try noodles, tea leaf salad, and don't forget the fried tofu and other snacks available at the counter. Also, the owners are the friendliest people you'll ever meet. Worth seeking out. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person ฿1–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Food was enjoyable :) I ordered the dishes featured in the middle and bottom right of the menu. The latter is a Tea Leaf Salad (don’t worry, it doesn’t taste like tea!) that had a refreshing, light flavor and good texture combo; the former was a chewy noodle dish with a very thick, glossy sauce. The menu doesn’t include English so just choose what looks good to you from the pictures :) Pay up front in the little shop area when you’re done! Expect to dish out around 40฿ for your meal. This place is incredible. A little hidden from the rest of the touristy destinations in Chang Mai. The food here is amazing and authentic. We were shown this place on a food tour and had to come back again. The people are so genuinely friendly too! Other reviews say there was no English on the menu, these are updated now and do have English on them in addition to Thai and Burmese. Try the Khao Soi Ei Si Ket and the Burmese Tea Leaf salad, you won't be disappointed!! This is genuinely some of the best food I've ever had. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Lovely hidden hole in the wall. Discovered it thanks to 'A Chef's Food Tour' and liked it so much we came back for it again. The Khao Soi Ei Si Ket noodles are so fresh and delicious (and mild, for those that can't handle spice), and the tea leave salad is spicy and amazing. It's crunchy, fresh, and really authentic Burmese food. Overall amazing food! Restaurant is hidden just inside the store, but definitely worth looking for. The staff are also super lovely 10/10 ❤️ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This is a tiny local eatery with a limited number of Shan Burmese dishes, but oh my, the food was incredibly good. A Japanese friend of mine heard about this place, and we decided to have lunch there, and we loved it. We each ordered a noodle dish (Japanese udon-like noodle with thick gravy made of tofu and chick peas) and shared a Burmese tea leaf salad. They were really tasty. With one bottle of soda water, it was only 150B total. The restaurant is inside a little shop – it is hard to see the restaurant space from outside, but GoogleMaps location is correct – you can just follow the directions to a T. You will see a big menu/picture of their dishes on the wall between two tiny shop entrances. The Kon Khum Shan is inside the shop on the LEFT. Just walk in and open the sliding door/poke your head inside, and there is a very nicely air-coned room with several tables. The hostess speaks really good English, and she also sells all kinds of Shan/Burmese food items in the tiny shop. I will definitely visit again.

A hole in the wall Burmese spot that makes delicious, home cooked Burmese food. There’s only nine or so items on the menu, but all yummy! While you’re waiting, try some of the fried snacks in the front.

Comfy place with homemade dishes. We tried noodles, pork wrapped in banana leaf, Burmese tea leaf salad. The lady host cooks all that food herself and was very warm and friendly. We were a bit hesitant in visiting this place because it's really a hole in the wall place from outside and were worried about the hygiene of the place but the place was very neat from inside. Would definitely recommend this to someone who wants to try out the local cuisine from a Burmese descendants. Service Dine in Meal type Brunch Price per person ฿1–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3
