I'm not huge into sushi, so take this with a grain of salt, but my wife loves it, so we come here sometimes. There are some rolls that aren't overly-fishy that I can get into, and plenty of other non-sushi options on the menu. The Richmond roll is a favorite of mine, and honestly the crazy monkey roll was better than it sounds as an almost dessert type thing? Hibachi steak, noodles, and gyoza are all good. As I understand it, this (and its sister location in West Ashley) is the ONLY place in greater Charleston to get all-you-can-eat sushi, and providing that service alone is worth something. This place has became such a staple with myself and friends. We come here about every other month it’s absolutely fabulous. It’s literally an all u can eat buffet for sushi what’s not to love! We always order apps, soups and two sets of rolls and we’re full. But do you get your moneys worth ABSOLUTELY! We’ve been coming here for months. Usually the waitresses/waiters are great. Gus was HORRIBLE. We asked for water. Took over 10 minutes to get them. Asked for lemon. 15 minutes later. Didn’t take our slips. I had to go up to the hostess and hand her our stack and request a new waiter and our table to be cleaned seeing as it was super sticky when we arrived. Once we finally got someone to take our slips, food came out quick. Food was good. But he had an attitude and alerted us that the kitchen was closing in 20 minutes and that we’d have our tip added beforehand - also, we were forced to add a 20% tip. Knowing full well he did a terrible job. He never cleaned a single dish off of our table so we had to stack our dishes on a neighboring DISGUSTING table as well. Please use our hard earned money and transfer it to the other red-headed waitress as she did all of his job. Seeing as he was desperate for a tip, here’s one: get a new job. This is for the kings sushi on Dorchester road. I just found out there are 2 locations. I have been 2x in the last week. The food is very good. The service is fantastic. I wish there was a category to rate the management. The manager there recently is lazy. She sits with friends/ family? While they are there, or sits at the front and only gets up to seat people. See pictures.. she sat with them for the 2 hours we were there on Jan 1. I was there on Monday jan 1 and there were only 2 servers. The place was packed. Even some of the center tables were occupied. I eat there often, and it is usually not that crowded when i visit. TWO SERVERS! my server was Jenna. The other girl was wearing a scarf/ banana on her head. Both of them were awesome. I could tell they were overwhelmed though, and i noted that the manager (Lauren? Laura? I asked her name but forgot) was in a booth with her buddies for the 2 hours i was there. She came by one time to seat someone, but then had to make them wait so she could wipe the table. Instead of sitting with her friends/ family, she should have been clearing plates, cleaning tables and filling drinks AT THE VERY LEAST. The 2 servers were busting their butts to keep up. They each had at least 8-10 tables while my husband and i were there. I was there by myself this past saturday, reading and eating so i was in no rush, but i noticed the same manager doing nothing. 1st and 2nd picture was when we were there Monday, and the one at the front seat was when i went this past Saturday. My prior visits over the last year, I always saw the manager helping. Not sure of his name. I think Edward. But i haven't seen him recently. We need to go there when he is working bc he shows what a manager should really be.. brings food, checks on and talks with the customers, fills drinks, and just helps all around. Jenna was phenomenal super friendly and welcoming. It was our first time here and we couldn’t have asked for more! Sushi was sooo good but overall our experience was top notch! We received service— Let’s go back a bit; around 6 months ago, we ATTEMPTED to dine at Kings Sushi on Dorchester Rd… we were seated and sat for just over 20 minutes before walking out. We had our rolls picked out and everything, the restaurant was lightly occupied and there were several floating associates but we received zero service. Today we returned— Sat by manager Adriana who promised us a solid experience. We were served by Preston, who was notified in advance of our previous dining experience. He took the note and situation to heart and took top notch care of us from his attention to our drinks to asking about the quality and making sure we had all we needed/wanted at healthy, regular intervals! This was about par with the service you’d expect at a Brazilian steakhouse… except that costs WAY MORE! The food— For an all you can eat buffet style sushi setting, I think it was a solid deal! If you want high end gourmet/authentic, you can ship your Happy Hyde off to Myles and Jun but that comes at a considerable premium and you’re going to wait! If you want a comfortable atmosphere where you can visit with your party, receive good service, order all you can eat and pay 35-40% less than your average middle of the road sushi joint, Kings is a solid choice! Lunch $16.99 per person / Dinner $27.99 The service and food was great. The prices are not bad for everything they offer. I had sushi (orchard roll is the best), hibachi chicken, pork gyoza dumplings, and chicken katsu. I drink water which keeps my bill under $20 (before tip). The food is so good, it's easy to overeat. This is a great spot for relatively cheap all you can eat sushi. They honestly have the best tasting spicy tuna roll I've ever had! Most of the food is decent, not anything remarkable. The service is a bit slow, but everyone is incredibly friendly. The hibachi is passable, but not great. If you're in the mood for all-you-can-eat sushi, King's Sushi is a great choice! Not only is the food delicious, but the service is fantastic as well. From the moment we placed our order, our food arrived very quickly, and our server was always attentive and helpful. Our group really liked the chocolate ice cream, but we can confirm what some other reviewers noted that the cheesecake is not great, even though it does look pretty good. Overall, it's a great place to enjoy some tasty sushi with friends and family.

Oh my goodness!! Their sushi rolls are amazing! I ordered the TNT and Yum Yum Rolls! We had an appetizer too - Crab Rangoon. This was a Togo order, and the host was very friendly! He gave some great suggestions and had such a wonderful personality! This was our first time visiting, but it definitely won’t be our last!
