Garden salad was good. Sent a burger back as the meat pattie wasn't properly cooked. Chef said it was cooked. Obviously didn't matter what the customer wanted... Pity as I liked the venue and decor. Plenty of other places to go to eat.
Food was okay, but nothing special. Therefore it was too expensive. There are better places in Thakhek for a great value.

This is a proper restaurant, and the prices will be higher, comparatively speaking, and of course your plates aren't going to be piled high....if you can't realise that just by looking at the establishment then you really are a brain-dead Muppet (referencing some of the reviewers who whinged about pricing and portion sizes....you all must be novice diners or simpletons!!). It is a restaurant with atmosphere, so if you wanna be a "Cheap Charlie" go to a plastic, seating local restaurant to pay peanuts (and no, I'm not knocking the local Laos restaurants, just the morons who think every place should be cheap with large portions!!).
This restaurant merits some class along with atmosphere (piped dining music plays in the background) and they have both indoor and alfresco dining options with free WiFi for patrons.
The menu is varied with both Western and Asian cuisine, along with a good quota of beers and alcoholic beverages as well as coffee options.
I've eaten a variety of different foods here, and all have lived up to my expectations. Definitely not suited to the transient backpackers or the thrifty, but excellent for those who know about, and except, good dining.
The staff are all friendly, welcoming and courteous, with majority having a good grasp of English.
Definitely recommended for like minded tourists who understand that it's not all about size vs prices. Not recommended for the plastic seat lovers wanting a $5 meal.
