A great place to eat after a visit to the market across the road. I wouldn't go for the coffee, but the shashlik are great! As an English speaker it was easy to point at the sticks we wanted in the display case, and the waitress kindly brought a tray with about 8 different salads so we could pick the ones we wanted. We ate here twice and can't recommend it more! The place is as local as it gets with a great location as well. You just show them which shashliks you would like and if you would like salad or bread and vouila. Their somsas were also the best I have had in Uzbekistan. Plus, the staff is really friendly, they have good beer and the prices are very affordable. A must in Samarkand for sure! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner

This is the best shashlik and kebab I’ve had in all of Central Asia. Except the only issue is that I ate here 2 days in a row and purchased the same platter and was charged different prices. First day 50,000som and second day 65,000som. Although delicious, I was left quite disappointed by that. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner

This place has delicious shashlyk. Served with big portion of onions, ask for salad and bread. Total cost for 6 sticks of shahlyk, bread, salad and green tea $10

Excellent food in a quiet place next to Bibi Khanum. No menu but you can show the skewers you want to have. Excellent fresh bread. We were there for dinner and had a mix of meat and grilled vegetables all very tasty. Good portions and reasonable price. The people there are friendly. Located near the bazaar this wonderful restaurant is a bit like the TARDIS. A small historic entry opens up into several air conditioned rooms. Specialising in Shashlik the food is some of the best I have had in Uzbekistan. Fresh, tasty and large portions for a reasonable price. Recommended.

Is this restaurant so good? I found this place on google. Although many people recommend here, I had a disappointing experience. I needed to wait about 15mins to be taken my order (they quickly took order from locals tho). They brought me a different shashlik from the one I ordered but didn’t change it and said the one I wanted was sold out (I’m doubtful she was sure cuz it was grilled tomatoes) . The Lamb shashlik was too hard and not as good as i expected. Fresh tomato salad was just a normal tomato salad. If shashlik here is “the best shashlik in Samarkand” as someone say, I don’t think I’ll have shashlik again.
