So I came in on my birthday with some close friends from out of town, because I heard the service was really good! The food? Excellent! Drinks? Outstanding!! So I had to check out the buzz! It was all matched and standards were met! The only thing that made this experience not so great, was hearing the 12 year old looking manager yelling from the expo line. Corporate should really double check on who they choose to represent their company. Right after the guy bartender made my drink, I commended him for how great it was, just to see that manager rip him apart because he assumed he wasn’t working hard enough. Along with the hard working servers. He was not professional and I really would love to come back but I fear to come when he is here now. Our good time went from Very good to uncomfortable, so I can just imagine how the staff feels. Please consider someone more motivating and friendly. I thought it was a child in charge. First things first, Trent is a GREAT server, that young man knows his stuff... he's polite, he INTRODUCES HIMSELF WITH HIS NAME (many folks fail to do that) and was fast without being too chatty, nor too quiet, he's just right! My husband n I stopped by for a lil snack and were greeted with a sweet lady, Brenda, who left us chips n salsa n promptly approached by Trent, who took our orders, n bright or drinks before I could go to the rr n wash my hands! The food is 5 stars! My husband got the nachos, which were basically the size of tostadas and I ordered the wings, I can't tell y'all how FKN YUUMMMY they were, they are PERFECTLY crisp and with the perfect amount of Buffalo sauce still on them! *chefs kiss* Although we only got finger food, next time we'll bring a bigger appetite. 10 outta 10 reccomend!!! Came here on a hot lunch date on a Friday, it was busy but we were seated right away when we walked in. Our server was very friendly and attentive. It took no time for our food to come out. The food was great, I did have a drink. It was also fixed well. Would definitely recommend as a good place to pop in and have a quick fulfilling lunch. Well, there was three of us and we were there about 745. 25 min. Wait which wasn’t bad for a Friday night. My husband ordered the Matador and he said it was just ok. It had ribs,sausage and fajitas. He said the tortillas were excellent with the butter sauce that was at the bottom of his plate. I had Tortilla soup. Flavor was good but I had 1 zucchini and 1 yellow squash and small small ant if shredded chicken and mushy rice at the bottom of my bowl. Very little cheese. Disappointed compared to my last bowl of soup there. As my husband the tortilla were excellent. My family and I just went to Johnny tamale and want to thank the staff for such great food but specifically our awesome server Trent! He was so polite and positive the whole time. We saw him rushing around but always stayed on top of his game. Keep up the great work. We will definitely be back soon! This place was packed! The lady next to me raved about the ribs being the best in Pasadena , service could've been better. The bartender was just too busy. Ok, now the hype for the food...sorry, don't believe it! I ordered the Matador "platter" that's what the bartender endorsed because I told him that I was famished and he described the dish as" protein piled high". Look at the picture and judge for yourself if this "platter" is worth $30( $29.99). Two medium bacon wrapped shrimp, 3 slices each of chicken and beef fajitas, some cheese filled smoked sausage, and 2 tiny baby back ribs, a painful helping of rice, tasteless salsa and guacamole, and a medley of shredded cheese, two 6" tortillas, and a small cup of beans. Came with family for dinner. Our waiter was great very attentive and got our order right. We received our food not too long after we ordered. I ordered the chile relleno with rice and black beans. It was good. The chile needed seasoning but overall good. Hubby had the sampler which was also good. Mother in law has the stuffed avocado with rice and charro beans. She said it was good but that the beans tasted like they were canned but overall good. We always enjoy the free ice cream on the way out. The food is always good. They bring out a red & green salsa with chips which I prefer the green. No long wait for food to be ready. And One of the best Strawberry Margaritas in town! Of many years going here, only 1 waiter issue: forgot to get my drink from bar. Otherwise, the waitstaff have all been friendly and attentive. For sure, Will keep going back! Service Dine in

Great food and great staff. I brought my family in and was promptly met at the door by Ramona she spoke to my children and made the visit such a wonderful experience. You very rarely see the manager come out and interact with the customers but this was one place my family and I felt right at home.
