It's worth coming to this bbq because of nicely cooked smoked turkey, turkey sandwiches and grilled chicken. Drink the good beer served here. Johnny's BBQ is suitable for visitors who have supper in a hurry because they can order dishes as a takeaway. The staff is terrific that's what makes this place so nice. Fine service is something guests like here. Prices at this spot are worth attention as they're adequate. You will definitely appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and modern fireplace. This was my first time here. I stopped by on a Wednesday for their burnt ends lunch special (until 4pm, by the way). After visiting other "top" KC barbecue joints, all I can say is their burnt ends are on another level. Juicy, smokey flavor, tender, and that bark is omg. They are fall-off-the-fork freakishly fantastic (trying not to use the other F word to describe how good they are). I'm not much of a sauce person, so I was surprised when they handed it to me with sauce already on it. But I didn't feel it overpowered the flavor of the meat. It was a nice balance between the two. You can also ask for it dry, which is what I'll do next time to compare. The place itself was clean and the staff was inviting. Overall the service was great. Going forward, this place will now be my new standard for how burnt ends should be, holy moly.
