I wouldn't buy, let alone eat anything out of this deli. For two visits in a row, two weeks apart, there was a thick clear glaze over every item in the deli as if the refrigeration had gone out or if they did not cover the food at all overnight. There are several other Jewel stores within 10 minutes drive of this one. For that and other reasons, I highly recommend you go to anyone but the St Charles Randall Rd location.

Came for one item, had a coupon. Associate come over and canceled my coupon, saying I'm not allowed to use it even though your system accepted it. Then, she proceeded to reenter my items incorrectly, trying to charge me more for a different product. I corrected her but she got offended gaslit me. Pure arrogance for someone who earns minimum wage (and they actually want more?!). Why is this place still in business with this poor level of customer service?
This is my regular store. If I ever have a problem, someone is always there to try to help me to resolve it. This time was no exception. Cynthia at the service desk was so incredibly friendly and accommodating. She went above and beyond to go over everything with me to make sure that there weren't any discrepancies. I'm so incredibly grateful to her for ensuring that I was completely satisfied. She truly exemplifies customer service in my book!! I was able to find my favorite items like my Dunkin Keurig Hot Chocolate Cups, Nature's Path Turmeric (B1G1F), Reese's Snack Bars and Cereal, Pink Hair, Skin and Nails and the best deal Fishers Honey Roasted Peanuts for $2.99(with a clipped coupon)!!

Jewel is a grocery store where you can find just about anything, however I've noticed that it's gotten so expensive. Everything you look at is at least $5.99 which almost feels like price fixing, even when things are on sale its still $5.00 each from saltine crackers to bread, lunch meat to a chicken and veggies, fruit and dairy. I've shopped the St Charles location, Aurora, Sugar Grove to Batavia, however Batavia us my least favorite, I've experienced employees just say they don't know an answer to my question and walk away, no offer to find out or ask a manager for assistance. And I'm definitely not fond of the .05 cents for each bag you use. That used to be one of the costs of doing business but so many companies are pushing those fees and other fees onto the consumer.
Just left the store, and Jordyn S was nothing but rude! Kept insulting none stop due to large transaction. I even returned multiple items so she is not overwhelmed. she was not patient enough to find the barcodes.
I shop here a lot. But today I was trying an insta order for the first time. The cashier, Katie, was clueless even though I let her know from the beginning I was doing an Insta shop. She then told me I needed an actual card to put when you can do it digitally. I couldn’t pay until I call Insta and went back. at this point she had no one but me. She took my stuff but before she scanned my order again she decided to take a man that had just gotten in line even though I was their first. She was rude and made faces at me like I was bothering her. I just wanted to pay and deliver two items!

This store has great employees. I love that Jewel employs people with special needs. I don’t mind if that means they might sing “Take me out to the ball game” or inform me in July of how many days we have left until Christmas while bagging my groceries. It’s actually accidentally hilarious. The only negative at this store are the bathrooms. They’re seriously scary bad and in desperate need of an upgrade.

Jewel is one of my favorite stores locally. I appreciate that I can get in and out quickly, unlike big box stores. Items are neat and easy to find. Store is clean. Employees are helpful and friendly.
“I have more important people…” I love Jewel, but today me and a few shoppers overheard this older woman who was obviously the bigger boss. She betrayed a younger man in a red shirt, nagging him for having a radio. She asked him why he had a radio frenetically, all over this kid. His supervisor stepped in and told her I gave it to him. A few other shoppers and me heard her say this: Well, I have “more important people” who need that radio. “Jimmy has one!” The poor lad exclaimed. I last saw the kid’s supervisor with his hand on his shoulder, as to say ‘It’s alright. Don’t worry about it.’ This happened at 1303, given my receipt. She should be fired if that behavior continues, especially in front of your customers. Some sort of discipline is completely justifiable. Do you realize how demoralizing that was for the poor kid? Hopefully Jewel’s powers-that-be see this and hold her accountable for that incident. “…more important people…” what a you know what.
