Visiting from Canada - we drove from Crown Point and arrived by 1pm as others have said they close/ run out of food early. Be prepared for winding roads up and down hills, stop and grab snacks along the way. Many fruit vendors. You can stop for fresh coconut water - ask them to shuck it for you. The restaurant is on the second floor and it's nice and breezy. There are very clean restroom facilities. The food has an amazing home cooked flavor. The breadfruit pie is a must! You pick your meat/fish and the sides come with it. You can make an entire day trip out of it. The coastline and views while you're driving are beautiful! Beautiful views and authentic homecooked trinbagonian dishes served up in a rustic "treehouse" overlooking beautiful views of the sea. Family style meals - order your main/protein and they take care of the rest! Fried rice, callalloo, pies.. all the sides are brought to your table. While some of the food we found to be a bit under seasoned and lacking flavour, the pies definitely did not disappoint and I'd go back just for those! One of the best mac pies I've ever had and cassava pie was amazing! Apparently the breadfruit pie is the real star here and unfortunately it wasn't available when we came, but we weren't let down given how good the other 2 were. Service was friendly and the view were stunning. We listened to the waves and watched pelicans fishing as we waited for our meal, and we would have gone for a swim if the weather was a bit nicer. Overall a great spot to have some local cuisine with a beautiful backdrop, and definitely worth a stop if you come by this side of the island! Great place for lunch. Best time to enjoy the sea view in this tree house restaurant. Good value local dishes with meals including several sides. Fish and chicken were nice and the lobster ordered by other tables looked amazing. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Baked Chicken in Mushroom Sauce
The drive was well worth it. The scenery is very calming and the breadfruit pie and cucumber salad were unique and delightful. You can easy cover a meal and take dip in the sea right next to the property. You even get one or two birds coming in to keep you company. A great little place for a unique Tobago flavour. Our waiter was marvelous! We got a table by a window that allowed the ocean breeze to flow right in on us. The frued fish was well seasoned. The BBQ chicken had plenty sauce. The cassava cheese casserole was my favorite! The sides came out as a family community style type of eating. The food was flavorful and made with care. When we were finished eating I went under the resturant through a short pathway down to the beach line. The view was amazing. Listening to the waves crash upon shore added to the specialness of this location. This is a place you must dine at to get the full experience. I've been to this place a few times over the years. The food is still consistently good and flavourful. The shrimp, fish, breadfruit pie, vegetables all were seasoned well, not salty or overcooked. The atmosphere is so peaceful and calm. The food amount is plentiful. Especially for the price. They do not serve hard alcohol but with the taste of the food and the amount you get you won't have space for it. Clean, tasty, relaxing dining. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
